There were no other Ferris graves around them. However, I found Charles with Susannah, John H and Bernadine, Patricia, Ernest, and John Patrick. Happy Hunting!

You're most welcome. It was 42 there yesterday but with the sun
being out, it was comfortable. You can't drive around in Cato yet
because of snow here and there. Today it will be 60 so the little
snow we have left will soon be gone. I think you'll be even warmer

|mrh808||RE: Pattie Thomas McGee|
Hi Dee! Thanks for the comments. I am all new to this find a grave thing but I am having fun.
Gosh, I sort of wish I had not signed up for find a grave for friends - I think I got several request to go walk around Cemetery's here in Des Moines Iowa area and take pictures. I will try to fulfill each but I do work fulltime so my off time is limited.
Anyway, I do not have any proof of Pattie's Actual birthday nor can I find her sister's Weauneta actual birthday.
You may just have rock my family's world! Mother always told us that Pattie was Weauneta's sister by Brogden but when I look at W P Brogden's Obit it says he was survived by wife and small daughter? Woodie Thomas we were told adopted Weaunieta, Pattie and my mother Wilma and we were always told that Woodie and Lanorah had one child and that was Woodie H Thomas Junior.
My concern, is we have never been able to find a birth certificates for Weauneta, Pattie or Woodie. My mother's birth certificate mother did find but it is all wrong - - it shows Woodie and Lanorah as the Bio parents which is direct conflict with the Court Documents of that time where Raymond C Wood released custody to the Thomas's and that was done on Feb 25th, 1927. SO it appears, Woodie and Lanorah just changed mothers birth certificate or the courts did.....
I have learned that you can not depend on Newspaper clippings of Obits, and often court records are way wrong too.
So....I do not know what to believe now?
Can you please use email@example.com to respond and can you please send me Pattie's Obit?
I have a picture taken in the 70's or early 80's of mother standing at her mother's grave, and on the back it says Pattie Leota is buried to the right of Woodie.....but I can't find a live human being at Hewitt Cemetery records to give me plot information as I don't think anyone there even knows.... but I would like to know where Pattie is so I can but a headstone for her and Ima.
What fun Dee....lets keep talking - - and why are you searching out Pattie's records? Are you related to me?

Hi Dee - I can't transfer Renselear Wade as he is my 2nd Great Grandfather. I can't transfer Anon Bowen as he is my 3rd Great Grandfather. Neither can I transfer his sons, Isaac and Morris. The letter about Isaac's death in the Civil War is in my possession, as is many of the Wade/Bowen letters. Likewise I can't transfer Lafayette Barber, as he is the husband of my 2nd great aunt, or any of his sons/grandsons, etc.
The Seamans family are also cousins of mine, although a few times removed.
I'm sure you understand the reason for my not wanting to transfer the above to you, as they are only your husband's cousins.
I have transferred to you the Murphy's, as they are very obscure relatives. I don't have a Leroy Seaman and his wife Alice in my tree, so I have also transferred them to you.

I just checked my emails for the first time in weeks. There is only one Sowers Cemetery. There is no office nor any organization that I can see. It was canvased in the late 80's and that is the only list I have to refer to. I'm happy to report that a new association is forming for Sowers. I hope to serve as a member. I will suggest that the cemetery be canvased and cataloged again. If your Mr. Toler turns up, I"ll let you know.

The gravesites are there, just no markers. I was told everyone receives at least a temporary marker. It's a brick with the person's name and sometimes the location info. Unfortunately, some have been overgrown by the grass or worn away by the wind.
Each section also has markers for the plot numbers but those get overgrown too. I'll find a marker and then based on the map, find my way to where the section I'm looking for should be.
Also, not too far from where George and Lillian are, there
is a Davis family plot. Not sure if they are related though. I don't remember the names though.
It will be a couple of weeks before I can get to the office but I will. There are many people who have requested photos but no markers were found.

You're welcome. I found the section they are in but there are not any permanent markers. Once I confirm whom they are buried next to, I'll be happy to at least take pictures of the burial sites so you have at least that. I'm not sure what the cemetery's plan is for people whose temporary bricks have been overgrown and "swallowed" by the ground or worn down by the wind.
