I know of the misspelling, but unless I list it as the stone shows, people re-list it , and we end up with dupes, this has happened twice, so i LEAVE IT AS THE STONE NOW, AND PUT IT IN THE NOTES!

James Irvine & Theodore Irvine at Old Graveyard in Carlisle
This may be James Irvine, son of General William Irvine and Ann Callender. If it is, could you please add his birth and death dates and where this information can be found (see below). If this is not James, son of William & Ann, would you please let me know, so that I may add him to this cemetery.

See information of Thomas [possibly your Theo./Theodore Irvine, who is also in the book (see info below). Please let me know what you find. I would like to add both to the cemetery, but don't want to create a dup.
Thank you,
Shari Frey

James Irvine transcription:

In the book MEMORIES OF CARLISLE'S OLD GRAVEYARD: CONTAINING A LIST OF THE INSCRIPTIONS ON ALL STONES IN THE ENCLOSURE IN 1898, by Sarah Wood Parkinson, on page 64 the following is written about his tomb inscription:

"James Irvine Oct. 28, 1796 - May 21, 1848"

You may read this book online at here:

Thos. Irvine transcription: [an error may have been made during transcription, this may be Theo. [Theodore Irvine, that you also added to F.A.G.]

page 55 of same book:

Thos. Irvine. Co. I. 1st Reg. Pa. Vol. Feb. 24, 1806

Irrgang Memorial,
Dear Sir / Madam,
I was hoping that maybe I could possibly request some assistance.. You have created a memorial for one John Irrgang, and I am having trouble reading the inscription as far as his wifes middle initial, and dates are photographed... Do you have any idea what the missing information may be????? Also, was there a 3rd Irrgang buried next to, that you are aware of?? These may be the parents of Adeline Irrgang, who may also be buried there... Thank-you for your time and efforts on behalf of this web site,
R S Feigh

Dr. James M. Owston
PRVC Graves

I plan to do just that - but have not got to it as of yet. My first step is adding the names per cemetery, then photos, and I will add a short bio to all of them when the bulk are loaded for a company - as I have started adding the virtual graves.

I forgot to mention that I have a number in Uniondale in Pittsburgh that I have uploaded as well - so I am working on these as I can. I probably have several hundred photos of graves from Michigan, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, DC, WV, and PA for the 9th.

It is a slow but sure process.

You still have quite a few graves and photos up on your site. I got the Allegheny file to upload when I changed it to a csv file. I set up my virtual cemeteries today and have begun populating them.

I added you as a friend. I had no idea that you had done this. Great job. I just started in late October adding graves.
