Looked at your school picture of 1897. She was born in 1895. Looks older than 2.
Either the DOB is wrong or it is the wrong picture ?

GREAT PHOTO !
My ancestors are from this area. Is there any chance that you can identify anyone else in the picture besides Essie Beeler Roser ?
Smart move on your part, we are snowed in again in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

|Janet Scarborough||Edward Miller family|
Edward Miller was my grandfather. His daughter, Faith Francis Miller, was my mother. We are just beginning to research this side of my family. Are you a relative of the Miller family?
Would you be intested in exchanging information and pictures. Philip

I'm trying to find info on the Irwins.
My great aunt Anna (Ann) Fredricks married Thomas (Bud) Clinton Irwin.
I saw your msg:
"I am related to the Irwins by marriage. In the picture is Tom Irwin (lower right) and he is the father of Eva Irwin Norris, who raised me. She married my father's brother."
I'm hoping you have info you can share, I also am looking for pictures & family stories.

Betty, I would adore an invite to your tree, and later on today I will scan the picture of Jessie & Co. The story behind that was that since scanners didn't exist back in the day, pictures of pictures were my family's answer to photosharing,lol, so they put them on the fence outside and photographed them. Would you like a copy of any of the others, I have Thos. and Mahalia's wedding photo in a round frame, and it is a much better quality picture than the one I posted. I have a stack of 1930-40's photos of the Golden/Lyons/Chambin group doing crazy stuff (apparently in days before photoshop the worlds biggest ear of corn could be achieved by holding the corn close to the camera and standing way back,lol. Also I wondered if you knew anything about a dresser that supposedly traveled with Julia in her Oxcart, family lore says that it went from oldest daughter to oldest daughter. Just let me know how much stuff you want, because I'm sometimes a little too good at sharing and you may end up with more photos than you bargained for once I get going. I also have a copy of the 1880 census book from that year so I can send you the scans out of it for land/occupation/etc.

You seem to know a ton about my family line, I am a descendant of Mahalia and Thomas. Are there anymore interesting stories or things you could tell me about them. I am related as follows : Cathy Huber Gibbs, daughter of (Robert)Mary Lyons Huber, daughter of Ethel W. Golden Lyons, who was a daughter of Thos. and Mahalia's union. Anything on the Beelers or the Golden Clan further back would be awesome, I was told Jessie gave the Indians 50cents an acre, and Jessie's son William Henry Golden was in civil war 156th O.N.G. I may have Jessie in a photo of a photo, will post on headstone for George because he is in the photo too

My relatives are Bowsher, Delong & Mowery. I was so deligthed when I found St Matthews Cemetery in Cridersville and they were everywhere. It's quite a feat to sort them out.

I see Ruth June Force as one of your friends. We have been friends all of our life (cousins, sort of).
I got the picture from my Aunt Eva's collection when she died in 2000. I believe she got it from her sister, Ruby. Ruby is failing, so she has given her collection to Ruth June Force.

|Jeremy Ball||RE: Hiram Irwin|
Sorry to keep sending you message after message, but you don't need to send me a link. I didn't think to just search "Hiram Irwin."
It's really weird, because they have an Oakwood Cemetery listed in Grand Rapids as well as the one that's listed the wrong way.
I'll try to sort through it in the morning.

I can't find the wrong listing for Oakwood cemetery. I know I've seen it before, though. Could you send me a link so I can report it to findagrave?

You're a night-owl too, huh? :)
You are absolutely right about the location of Oakfield Cemetery. Whoever originally listed the cemetery must have supplied the wrong info. I'll try to contact findagrave to see if they can fix that.

I took pictures of all of the Davis's that were next to Samuel. There are a few Davis's up in this cemetery. I posted a couple of the ones that were next to Samuel. You may want them also. I just beat the snow, it started snowing when I was out looking for the stone. And you are welcome.
