|Leslie P. Fowers||Rhoda Elizabeth Bybee Priest|
I received this request so I am forwarding it to you...Leslie Fowers
My husband is a direct ancestor of John Priest and has done a great deal of research on his descendants. the Photo you have posted on Rhoda's Memorial is of Elizabeth Hewitt, John's 3rd wife. The picture that is on John's Memorial Page (43132149) was taken at the same time as the one of Elizabeth that is incorrectly posted on Rhoda's memorial. The photo was taken about 1910 at a Priest Family Reunion (we have tried to identify many of those in attendance) at Taylor Park in Taylor, Bonneville, Idaho. Could you please remove the photo from Rhoda's memorial and place it correctly on Elizabeth's (121788498). Thank you.

|Jolley Juhl||59611749 James Earlton Haws, Sr.|
The date of death as 1872 is incorrect as Mr. Haws was in Arizona in 1886 and was on the 1880 census.
It is thought the error started at sometime when a child died in 1872 and this error has continued in family trees.
Is there a way to correct this date of 1872 as it is truly wrong?

Thank you Marlin. I got anxious and should have realized that I needed to wait a little bit before I made the request. Thanks for your help!

Hi, I think I mistakenly deleted your photo request for Rhoda Fitzgerald. I'll be going out to Forest Hill soon to get photos of she and her husband. If you want to resubmit the request that is fine. Otherwise I'll just upload the photo directly to her memorial. Sorry for the confusion! I had attached s note about the Benham/Tice family but grabbed the wrong link.

You are certainly welcome. That stone is in remarkably good condition for its age. I was somewhat skeptical about finding it, as the poor condition of other similarly aged stones rendered them practically illegible.
I put the stone's inscription as a caption on one of the photos. I could not however read the very last word in the inscription.
"Death like an overflowing stream sweeps us away; our age to seventy years is set; how short the time; how frail the fate. For Adam's sin I'm doomed to death but through the blood of Jesus Christ there's life eternal for the ..."

If you have not already found it, there is a book on line on the A Genealogy of the Family of Anthony Stoddard of Boston dated 1849
Tells alot about the family lineage
Did you find the daughter of Solomon Stoddard Esther, sister to Anthony? She married Timothy Edwards and their son Rev Jonathan Edwards was the 3rd President of Princeton Univ.and died of Tetanous at a young age and Aaron Burr married Jonathan 's daughter Esther. Also Gen William Tecumseh Sherman decends down from Anthony Stoddard, his great grandmother was a Stoddard.
My 3rd great grandmother Lavina Stoddard married Abraham Pierce and his family decends from Captain Michael Pierce. My famiy tree is public on Ancestry if you subscribe and if not I can provide you access to view my tree, just let me know. my family tree is Stulen/Foster. I Do not know how much work you have done so take a look at my tree on Ancestry and if you do not subscribe all I need is your email address and I can grant you accessd to view my tree on Ancestry.

|Jim Stoddard||Curtis Stoddard|
Curtis Stoddard that died in Knoxville, Illinois is my great great grandfather through his son Benjamin Franklin.
Thank you for the memorial information. I was particularly interested in the statement about them joining the LDS Church. Did this information come through family stories or other sources. The official baptism dates for the three sons were after Curtis Died.
I have land records of the property the three sons owned in Hancock, county Illinois.
If you could provide additional information on Curtis and Permelia joining the LDS Church I would be very interested in this.

You have Eliakim's memorial in Old North Cemetery in Woodbury. Your information states that it is assumed he was buried in Woodbury. A FindAGrave volunteer wrote me and noted that Eliakim is not listed in the cemetery records and he has walked the entire cemetery but did not find Eliakim's grave. May I suggest that Eliakim's memorial be placed as burial place unknown until proof of his resting place is verified.

|L. Finley||RE: Didymus & Ruhama Stevens Johnson|
I have a copy of Wiscombe's "The Clark-Lane Family", which contains some info on Didymus & Ruhama (I have found substanial errors in some information in this book however). I've been able to document a few things, such as Ruhama's death (Haddam First Congregational Church Record). I have pretty good documentation on all 13 of their children (my direct ancestor was their eldest child, Concurrance, whereas, your direct descendent was their second to last child, which is why he was close to the same age as my 3rd ggrandmother, Mariah Burr, although he was her uncle. If you want to send me an email address I'd be happy to send you a family group sheet for them. If you have access to Ancestry, I have a detailed family tree online ( I'd also be happy to send you an invitation to my tree if you don't have Ancestry, that gives you a free 2 week membership I think, that way you could go through the information I have on this family and copy whatever documentation or pictures you might want).

|L. Finley||RE: Didymus & Ruhama Stevens Johnson|
My fear is that by listing them in a particular cemetery, we decendents/researchers quit looking for their actual resting place or concrete documentation to verify they are indead buried in this cemetery. Personally, I think it would be better to just list them in "unkown" burial, that way we have the memorial but don't prevent future research :O)
I descend through their daughter Concurrence Johnson Burr by the way.

|L. Finley||Didymus & Ruhama Stevens Johnson|
I noticed that you have posted memorials for Didymus & Ruhama Stevens Johnson at Little City Cemetery in Haddam CT. I was wondering what documentation you had that they were buried in this cemetery? Didymus & Ruhama are my 5th great-grandparents, and I went through every cemetery transcription in Middlesex County looking for verification of their resting place and could not find them. I would be thrilled to know if you have such documentation.

|Jess Brown||RE: info about Ann Tomerlin|
I have not idea about Ann. I just saw that she had a relation to a grave I found because of a request for another person so I added it then transfered it to Ann since she had the other family member not because she had requested it.
