Lena Higginbotham # 28098332
I have come across an old photo of Lena Higginbotham as a young adult or older teenager and saw your note about not posting photos without your permission. Wanted to check with you first. I can send you the photo if you like.

Red Headed Texan
I love your name. I have posted most of the Memorials at Memorial Cemetery in Palestine, Tx. I noticed your name appearing on so many of them with flowers. When my husband was alive we surveyed the Memorial, taking names and info on all the headstones. He passed away in 06 and I became too old and sick to finish our work. I have a shoe box full of cards with the names of the people buried in Memorial. Because of your interest I was wondering if you would be able to finish posting them to Findagrave. I hate to toss them out after all those hrs of work. Lots of memories from doing it. Once we were there and it was early morning. No noise and all of a sudden two baby fawns jumped from the trees and ran across the cemetery into a field across the way. It was very shady still but the sun suddenly shined on them. It was breathtaking. I don't have any money to mail them to you. Any ideas? Are you ever in our area? I was thinking of leaving them at the library which has a wonderful genealogy department. I won't throw them out. I also have a few other names who might be interested but thought I'd see if you would. I appreciate what you are doing. I love people who love our ancestors as much as I do. We must get the headstones recorded and photographed before we can't read them any more. Judy Mount

RE: Mary
I hope your great-aunt can recall where Mollie is buried. In the meantime, i've got another website that I just found that is full of places to look for TX counties' histories. Scroll down until the counties are listed and then click on the county you want to research. On the next window will, amomg other things, be a long list of things you might be able to use. Good Luck!

RE: Mary
No, I can't find a memorial for her. I wonder if her children buried her beside their father?? That happens that way sometimes. She married Grandpa McGuire when they were in their golden years so they didn't have much time together. Have you heard anything about where she may be buried? I'll keep looking too. Brenda

RE: Mary
If you want to do so, please feel free to upload your picture of her to her memorial. I don't recall just how many pictures each memorial is allowed but I do so enjoy seeing all the pictures. It just makes that person so much more real to know what they looked like. It was good hearing from you again. Keep in touch.

I would like a claification about her date of death. Is there anyway you can find out from your cousin where she is buried at. Because the date of have shows she passed away before the youngest children you have listed where born.
