RE: Oscar Lawrence - Newfane VT
Tim & Grace,

Thanks, I thought that might be the case in that Peachtree no longer existed or there may have been a name change. I am going to put "Peachtree" in the bio & just Montgomery County in the date section

Here in Vermont, I can also relate to the "You can't get there from here" :)

Thanks for all you do for Find A Grave & have a great weekend !

Lynn

Oscar Lawrence - Newfane VT
Hi there

Could you send me your source for"Lonoak, CA " as his birth place?

His marriage, death cert & WWII Draft registration all give "Peachtree, CA" as his birth place.

Thanks in advance for clarifying the information

Best regards
Lynn

Charles Alton Simmons
I was not able to find his site nor was he listed in the records I was able to view. There were many Simmons and Simmonds. The cemetery is in the process of reorganizing their files. I did take a few pictures of Simmons, and one that was a Charles but could not confirm it was a Simmons. I will be happy to email those to you and you may use as you see fit.

I've updated the page with all I know at the moment. I may make some changes if I learn more. Meanwhile, if you have any suggestions, I'm glad to hear them. Also, would you like me to return control of the page at some point?

Hi Tim,
I don't blame you for being cautious. This is the information I used to connect Martha (Howard) Willis to Abigail (Tisdale) Howard. I hope works.

RE: Cemeteries in Boston area
so I went to woodlawn in Everett mass looking for your photo request yesterday with the help of the grounds staff I located where the grave was but there was no stone for the Hayes family in Ephron south nor was there a stone for Jane Jacobson in Evergreen.I took pics of location and will post them, the areas are right behind each other, then I went to look for Mary Hayes in the pilgrims rest area when I called the office for help by giving them the name I was near I was only a few numbers away so again no stone,, surprised me that the other family lot had no stone but in those 1800's I guess they didn't have $$ there was however a huge Hayes monument site that had like 9 ppl in it that said 1901 on front being that you can not gain entry to it I could not see any names on the slabs inside. it was also near the pilgrims rest but they were not in there per office..

John Kelley
John & Catherine Madden McManus
Catherine Madden who married John McManus was my third Great Aunt and her sister Mary Agnes Madden Tracey was my 2nd great Grandmother. Mary A Madden married Michael Tracey in 1850s. Their only child Mary(Mumsie)Tracey married a Michael Flaherty and their son James Tracey Flaherty's daughter Margaret Christine married my dad John R Kelley Sr. Since 1987, I have been working on our family history and my focus is on the photographic history our family. Obviously, I'm quite interested in the early years of Catherine and John McManus. In addition, I'm a member of the Center for Civil War Photography and my interest perked when I discovered John McManus was with the 3rd United States Artillery Regiment. I do have a tree on Ancestry.com. Big question, have any photographs come down of Catherine and John McManus & were you aware of any images of James and Mary Madden, the parents of Catherine Madden. Sincerely, John Kelley

I do not mine getting transcriptions. Some are very interesting and are hard to read. I just do not like bio's in the flower section.

Got it done, thanks. I like the bio you got there. Longest one I've seen but all great info, don't change it, I'm just ragg'n on ya. Are you related to Shaw? Thanks for your service too! I'm also a vet.

Lizzie Beal,
You put Lizzie Beal, 2nd wife of Henry Proctor. I think you meant 2nd wife of Clarence Proctor. As Henry was the father of Clarence. I declined the edit for Emma as it was to unlink her from her husband.

John S Kennedy
Hello, I'm looking for information on my 2nd great grandfather John S Kennedy born about 1828 in Maine. I see from some of your message post you have been looking for him also. His parents were Andrew Kennedy and Nancy Adams. I've not had any success in locating the death records. I lose track of him about 1872. Might you know any thing about him and his family? Sincerely, Reg Hamilton

thank you!
Father's burial location (cemetery and plot) was on the death certificate (so not a "plop").

Loved your profile. Couldn't agree more.

have a great weekend!
