RE: Swindle Family
Sorry, I don't have those ready yet. Most of what I have on them came from online gedcoms, which were unsourced. In fact, going through those and finding obvious, glaring errors is what got me started on documenting everything I could. I've been traveling for about 8 years now and have thousands of photos of gravestones, marriage records, death certificates, etc.

I have more on all the Swindles listed on my website. I went to TX last year to get more on descendants of Isaac Harrison Swindle and James Monroe Swindle. In addition, I ran into a descendant of Seth Swindle (another brother of Thomas and William) who gave me mountains of data on that line. I've been putting it all together and adding all of the 1940 censuses. When I finish, I will then get it ready for uploading to the website.

I would love to have what you have on Saphrona's descendants. Perhaps discussing how to get that to me would best be done by email rather than in a public forum. You can contact me at droe@detiaroe.com.

RE: Swindle Family
My great grandmother was Ferlissa Ann Swindle, daughter of Thomas Swindle and Marium Anderson. Saphrona's grandfather was William E. Swindel, who was Thomas' brother. Also, William's wife was Catherine Anderson, Marium's sister. Basically, every Swindle/el/ell and every McKelvey in Greene Co., AR is kin to me somehow. I would love to share information with you on anything in common.

When I got interested in genealogy, I got hooked in a big way. It is fascinating to piece all the puzzles together and meet previously unknown relatives.

I live in the country SE of Oklahoma City, OK. Where do you live?

RE: Anna Belle Ashley McFarland
Yes, she is buried beside Rowena Welch, except it is spelled Roena on her stone, so that is the way I entered her. I'll transfer her if you want. She is no relation to me.
The easiest way to find your dupes is to just click on your memorials. There are not so many that you won't find all the dupes right away.
Let me know about the transfer of Roena to you.

I just wanted you to know that I added a photo to the Annie McFarland in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Did you know that you have entered her four times in various cemeteries? LOL

RE: Greenleaf grave site
I'm not related to Greenleaf, I suggest you call 337-436-4800 to ask if Ms Meyers is there... This No. is the City of Lake Charles who manages this big cem.
Also there is a really big map on the inside of the brick columns that shows all the sections, after you learn what section a site is in... Good Luck. Charles

Yes, he was my great uncle---my paternal grandmother's brother. I never met him though, as there was an estrangement between them.

e-mail me at ruth.ryan48@verizon.net---we'll talk!

How are you Wanda? I have joined Ancestry but haven't found anything about the McFarlands. Still working on the Bass and Harrison Families.

I just have a question. Do you know if this John William Mosley is the husband of Caroline Grimes? I'm trying to link my Grimes families together.

RE: Vernon L. McFarland
Good Morning!

Thank you for taking the time to write regarding Vernon McFarland's memorial. Apologize for not writing back sooner, have been so very busy.

Am no relation to the McFarland's, just wanted to leave a memorial token in his memory.

Wishing you a nice upcoming week!

Diana

Robert & Dorothy Stone - Fairmont Memorial Park
Wanda: Just to explain some Find A Grave rules, technically Find A Grave rules indicate you are not entitled to transfers because you are a second cousin to the Stones. Some contributors enforce the rules so I thought I would advise you of them; however, since I have no family connection to the Stones buried in Fairmont I have no problem with transferring their memorials to you and I'll be happy to do the transfers to you. You will get a confirming message about the transfers from Find A Grave - probably right about the same time as you get this message.

I hope my explanation about the layout of Fairmont Memorial Park here in Fairfield, CA helps you to understand where the Stones are buried.

Hello, can you please go the name in question and then use the "edit" tab to send me your SAC. That way I don't have to hunt for it and the correct name will be ensured to come up. Thank you!

I haven't had much new. Not as much as you as I couldn't locate thier children. Would you send me the info you have. I found them in wrightville pulaski co ar in 1860 and then Mary Jane and Husband in 1870 in TN. Nicholas Hale was living with them in AR. Couldn't find him in 1870. I think there was an epidemic between 1860 and 1870 so some of them may have died. Hope you are doing ok and good hunting. Pat

Haven't to this site for awhile, was glad to see your message. I have some on the Bass line. Richardson's first name was Cyrus. According to his son Roland's bible. I went to Ancestry and found a lot. Did not think about the McFarlands. I did the 10 free days and will probably go to the library were you log on for free. My e-mail is patn0216@att.net

RE: ary Jane McFarland
I did learn that Richardson Bass's first name was Cyrus. His son Roland had a bible that listed his name. I have not been able to find his grave or that of the son and his mother. My husband was sick for several years and died in 2006. It has taken me a while to get focused again. I have a Bass site on Legacy if you want to see it. Good to hear from you again. Did you view my cemeteries? Pat
