RE: Dorathea Backhaus photo
Have you looked in familysearch.org recently. They have added lots of marriage, birth and death records. They have a pretty good search system also, much improved from the simple page that it used to be. I entered Backhaus in Iowa and saw quite a few records there. Katherine

Whitney
George, my name is Linda and I am the one who is getting the information on the Whitneys in the Macomb Center Cem. in Michigan. I have found your tree and realize that I have some you will want. I am from the Stroup family but not on this line. But, what the heck. So far I have found 7 children for Isaac Sr. and Susan. And for 5 of them, marriages and some children. You said you are 75, well I am right behind you and really do not want to go on down with the Whitneys as I have my hands full now. I would however like to talk to you. My email is listed here so will you email me and I then will give you my phone number. Thanks for reading this.

Hello,
I have added the coordinates you sent me to the Anaquitas Cemetery. Thank you for your work.

I did add La Palma Cemetery to find a Grave. No one had and my GG-Grandfather is buried there and a few other relatives.

RE: Bear Valley Cemetery
Dear Geo:

The individual stone are all in a row on either side of the large monument. The small stones are covered with black moss etc and you can hardly read them. I have some cleaner on the way that is very good at removing that crud, and will not hurt the stone in any way. I have sprayed the stones once and that didn't do it. I will give them a second cleaning this s pring. At that time I will photo each head stone and place the pics on the appropriate site.

The next photo will be taken of the large stone very soon. The shade has now left and on a sunshiny day the picture will be of excellent quality. I'm not pleased with the present one.

The cleaning solution is called (Wet and Forget). I had it specially ordered at True Valu.

Have a great Hoiday season.

Sincerely

Lyle Baumgarten

Dear Mr. Falk,
I am glad I could be of assistance to you in your search. I have photographed all the Harris family interred around those you had requested. I shall work towards getting them up online in the next few days around my work schedule. Please note that if I create a memorial to put the photos up, I will transfer ownership to you.

Have a great weekend!

RE: Truman Waters
Hi George,

Truman's father, Abel, was my 4th great-grandfather. Thank you so much for the name of his second wife. Do you know if they had any children? My sister now lives a short ways from the Fingal cemetery, I am hoping to take a trip there in the near future to photograph more of the family headstones.

Finally had a moment to upload Sarah's bouquet. Subsequent to your last e-mail: On Saturday when I was ready to submit Charles/Jim's photo, I was surprised to find that someone had already done so (even though my "claim" was still open). Either way, glad to see that you got it!

Putney burials - Oakland Cemetery
I discovered that the Putney burials that you have listed for Oakland Cemetery, Durand, IL, are actually buried in Durand Cemetery, Durand, IL. There are memorials established for them: Ellen Putney #32858285, Pliney Putney #32858303.
I plan on visiting the cemetery within the next couple weeks and will take photos for you.

Kathy French
Oakland Cemetery, Durand, Il
Hello George, I traveled today to cemetery since snow melted and was to cold to walk the grounds. Was told by neighbor that a lady who is due back from Texas to stay in the house next to grounds has all the records. I will try again this week and see if anyone ( her daughter lives in house) is home and try and get info for you.

Warrens in Glenwood
Hello Frank,

I fulfilled 2 more of your requests for Glenwood Cemetery in Flint, MI. I am returning to locate the missing Warrens. The cemetery was manned by a new employee who told me they are in section H, which is huge, but couldn't provide me lot numbers or a map. Hopefully this weekend will be lucky.

Samuel and Anna Warren
Hi. I went to Glenwood Cemetery today. The office told me they had no records for Samuel or Anna. But while I was taking photos for another request, my daughter and I noticed two seperate sets of Warrens right across the street from each other. While there was not a Samuel or Anna Warren, I did find , next to a large Warren marker, two stones I thought may be them.
One simply has A.K.W. 1817-1907, the other is S.N.W. 1812-1904. I know the date you gave was 1902, but do you think they may be the graves you're looking for? Also, I took pictures for many more Warrens in the same area.
Let me know if you are looking for any others :o)
By the way, my in-laws winter in San Benito as well. I hope your place has not been damaged by the hurricane.
Take care,
~Renee
