Photo request for Soloman Lanham
Thank you very much for attempting to fulfill my request. I appreciate your efforts! Maybe the property owner or one of his family is an ancestor buff and will see the request some day :). I feel that the cemeteries on private property are the most vulnerable and need desperately to be documented before they are lost forever. Thanks again.

Elizabeth Coursen McMakin Wheeler
You sent the following:

Can you tell me where you obtained the information for Elizabeth Wheeler? I am working on documenting some ancestors for DAR and I trying to find documentation to link her to her parents, her husband, and also to her daughter Mary Wheeler Roberson. The only thing that I have been able to find are some probate files that don't do much to prove the links. Anything that you could tell me would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

John Charles HIll (Throckmorton)
Description says Olga Davenport was NOT his mother (as substantianted by his "affidavit of heirship").

What is an affidavit of heirship? Would like to know what other paperwork exists.

Olga's name was Olga Davenport Johnson (1st husband Johnson). Then she married Allen Hill & JC is one of their children. There are also other siblings who could be listed.

Ollie (my grandmother) was not "officially" adopted, so her proper name was never Hill (the same for her older brother, Dewey). She was Ollie Lee Johnson & Dewey was Dewey H. Johnson.

Would like to hear from you on this please. Olga is my Great grandmother. Please contact me at if you like.

David M Loftis "Jr."
I am trying to find this WWI veteran. David M. Loftis b.Apr 16, 1896 Comanche, Tx. d.Oct 22, 1918 possibly in Camp Mill, NY of pneumonia. I don't know for sure of the "Jr." because his Army record doesn't have it. Could you please check records at the cemetery, where I assume his father David M. is buried, Oakwood in Comanche? or send me their contact info. It would be much appreciated.

The Hughes/Gregg families.
I noticed that you have two children listed with Essie Hughes by mistake.

Elmer and Gilmer are children of Etta Leota.

They are posted with the correct parents and have a photo of the headstone.

Thanks for your efforts and time spent with Find A Grave.

Have a good day. Enjoy life -- It is too short.

Paul Price
Thank you for adding this photo of Sarah A. E. (Chance) Price's tombstone to her grave site record. It shows that Sarah. A. E. was married to G. N. Price. I am currently trying to prove that Sarah Chance married George Newton Price, my great grandfather. This provides some preponderance of evidence that they were married. The courthouse for Milam County burned several years after their marriage.
I am trying to prove my relationship to the Chance family for the Sons of American Revolution. Although I have the exact date of marriage, I have no substantiating evidence. But your photo of the tombstone at Wayland Cemetery in Stephens County provides some more proof. I have been to the cemetery and have some photos but just forgot her tombstone showed this much of the relationship. Thank you again, Paul Price,#47351424.

Cecil is in hart Cemetary, Stephens county, died in 1964. I see he is buried in Plot: Section S Row 13 Plot 9, but I have walked all over this small Cemetary and failed to find his grave. Who can tell about where in the Cemetary he can be found?

Name on grave in Roseland Cemetery
I note that there is a name correction pending for [....] Clara Christine in Roseland Cemetery, Monticello, Florida. This is the grave of my first cousin, once removed -- Clara Christine Keen. Thank you for your efforts to provide information in FIndAGrave. This is a valuable resource. I live far away and only maintain one small cemetery myself, but I really appreciate all those who are doing so much more.
