Thank you!
Dear Delila,
Thank you for taking the time to enter my grandmother, Melba Irene Hameister, to the Find-a-Grave system. I am realizing now that my other Hameister relatives are not on here. I think I took some pictures of their graves when I was there, so I will try to figure out how to enter them on there myself. Thanks for inspiring me to try something new! (Feel free to give my any tips you might have...)

Michael Barksdale
Henry M. Truman
My inquiry is about Henry M. Truman #31686531. You have a great photo of his headstone, but there appears to be a lot of writing on the headstone that I cannot read. I am wondering if it says that he was a veteran of the 5th Indiana Cavalry and was a prisoner of war at the infamous Andersonville, GA., prison. The flags on the headstone make me think it might be.

If so, I have his original Civil War discharge and would like to add a photo of the document to his memorial if you agree.

Please let me know if this information about his war service is on the headstone. Thank you for creating this memorial and maintaining it.

All the Best, I appreciate your time and efforts.....Mike Barksdale.

RE: Photo Confusion

I realize it is not your fault. I have encountered 3 of this type of photo mix up. One photo on correct page, and one photo on another random page.

What REALLY worries me about this one, is that I see a spouse name of Leo Wacker on Clarence Bowman's page, and vice versa.

I hope the Find A Grave community doesn't find many of these but I won't hold my breath.

Thank you for your prompt action.

Photo Confusion
I understand that there have been photo mixups on the Find A Grave website recently and this may be one.

If you would please look at the photo of marker for Fitzpatrick on page which has name Shultz but is really for Leo F Wacker.

I sent a request to owner of page to get names straightened out on this page.

Steven Kleist
Mielke From Sibley County
My great great grand-father was Gottlieb Mielke from Arlington, Minnesota. I have yet to tie him to any of the other Mielke's in the area. I have a hard time believing that he is not connected to some of the Mielke's in the area, but those far no clues. May be you have some clues that may help.

His first wife was Anna Nimtz. And his second wife is a little vague. At this point, she is listed as the former Mrs. Sellie from the New Auburn area.

Gottlieb died in 1919 and is buried in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Arlington, Sibley County, Minnesota, USA.

If you have any clues that would be great.

Jerome "Red" Sheehan
I have added the grave stone photo's to your memorial. (You may arrange them as you wish) Being you have done a nice job on the obituary I will let you have this memorial. I also deleted my memorial. I am not into the #'s of memorial just to make memorial's for others to view. **Usually when I fill a photo request I take photos and post others next to the ones I fill.
I got a message from Jerome's daughter who most likely had not seen your memorial yet because of the incorrect date when searching. I'm sure she will be *delighted to see how nice it looks now. I have given her the new memorial # to view.
Thank you for your wonderful work.
For as I look for my ancestors who are out of states or areas that I cannot venture to, it is wonderful to have other findagrave members completing the memorials.
Thank You, Mary

Duplicate Memorial
My fault. I've never made that mistake before.

I created a Memorial for Jim Brekke, Find A Grave Memorial# 128063279 on 16 April.

Your Memorial for Jim Brekke, Find A Grave Memorial# 127967661 was added two days prior on 14 April.

May I transfer my memorial to you and you can consolidate the info from the two memorials or should I just remove mine?

Alison Merrill
Thank you so much for finding this information. Have you been able to photograph the other markers in the same plot? There should be 8 or 9 total persons within the plot.

Mervin has two memorials and the other memorial has photos & complete obituary. You might want to consider removing your acct. I real don't know the rules but notice he is in the cemetery twice. I'm the care taker of the cemetery. thanks for all you do.

Thank you. I am fine with her with you as I only went on to ask for the change. I have no idea how to do this and just would have liked her new update.
