Merritts in Mt. Gilead Cemetery
Frank - I am not related to these Merritts...that I know of. My Merritt ancestors lived in the Tallapoosa, AL area by way of SC & Upson County, GA.

Arcadia
There are 2 cemeteries in the Arcadia / Una Area that are small. I will try to check out the other one maybe this weekend when I have some free time.

RE: Lister Photo
You are welcome. I will go there again and look again, when I have time. Some stones are overturned, and they are too big for me to move. This cemetery is not even a 1/4 mile from where I live. It could use a little TLC.

"NOTE: Please e-mail or call (972-238-7111) Restland for plot information BEFORE submitting a photo request."
Restland Memorial Park is an extremely large cemetery (over 400 acres)and without the plot location it is impossible to find. I tried to get the information but they will only research the location for a family member. Sorry but anyone trying to help you get a photo of your loved one headstone, needs your help first. Without your help, don't expect a photo, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
You can e-mail - http://www.restlandfuneralhome.com/home/contact_us.html
or call - (972-238-7111) Hours are from 9am-6pm CST Monday-Sunday.
Thank you and have a great day.

Frank, my apologies for not getting back to you. I put my work aside for a few years and was not aware you had written. I have noted your comment. Thanks

I added a copy of her death certificate. It has to go under "Grave marker" category. Please re-request a picture of her marker - hopefully we will find her soon for you. Thanks.

RE: Lister Photos
You are very welcome. I remember going to Nancy and Fred's home when I was a girl. We would go there and Christmas carol with the GAs from church. They were such sweet people.

Brasfield Cemetery
I went back out to take the picture of Bessie Hgginbotham's stone. This Bessie has different dates. The stone I found is dated June 25th 1883....died Jan. 1921.

I did get a photo and suppose I will create a memorial. She was surrounded by about 6 unmarked markers, I went ahead and snapped some shots of the layout of the area.

Higginbothams in Brasfield
Hi :) I fulfilled 2 more of the photo requests. Mary's stone was partiallycovered by an ant bed. Quite a hazard around the south. I destroyed the bed after snapping the photo and intend on being back out there over the weekend. I will snap another shot as well as a plot view so the locations of the graves can be noted. Have to give the ant bed time to 'relocate' :)

Clinton Garrett
Hi There, I fulfilled your photo requests today. I need to let you know that Clinton was removed from Bethlehem Cemetery to Sawnee View Gardens in 1970 when his wife, Mary Ethel, passed away. I sent a correction to J. Lowery, who created his memorial. I also created a memorial for Mary Ethel. Please let me know if you would like it transferred to you. I'm also happy to forward the high resolution photos via e-mail if you would like. Just let me know!

Morgan Garrett, Restland in Dallas
Hi. Can you please contact Restland for plot location(s)? Restland is over 400 acres, with over 100 gardens, and over 130,000 interments. The chance of anyone stumbling upon your person is slim to none, and the office refuses to help us obtain plot locations as we're not family. You can contact them at 972-238-7111 or by e-mail at: http://www.restlandfuneralhome.com/home/contact_us.html - They are open 7 days a week, 8am - 6pm CST. Thanks!

It was my pleasure! The Old Roswell Cemetery is the most fascinating cemetery I have ever been in. One feels very humble in this old landmark knowing these individuals helped make the communnity what it is today.

Take care,
