Drews (Clendenens)
Marvin, My name is James Walter Drew Whitaker (aka James Walter Drew, II) and I am the 3rd G-grandson of Charles (Clendennen) Drew (abt. 1812-abt. 1903).... 3rd G-grandfather Charles (Clendennen) Drew took his step-father John Drew's surname... I took the DNA test and it proved that the Drew family's oral tradition down the years was correct about ggg-grandfather Charles' biological father was a Clendennen probably the grandson of William Clendenen of Orange Co., NC... I'd love to hear from you. Best regards, Drew Whitaker

p.s. I've invited you to join the Rockcastle, Laurel, KY and surrounding area Facebook.

Thank you for taking the time to fulfill my requests. The pictures look great. I removed lewis harmon from the requests. I had tried to find him myself but with no success either. He was the first harmon buried there, so he's stone is probably buried or unreadable

Ellen Hellard McDaniel
Hi: I noted with interest your entry for Ellen Hellard McDaniel. Ellen and my husband's father, Caleb Powers Hellard were sister and brother. You may be interested that I just added her parents - Lewis Patton Hellard and Mahaley Catherine Hurley Hellard, Memorials # 76044661 and 76151310. I did read that your interest would have been on the McDaniel side of this union, but thought you may be interested anyhow. My husband remembers Arthur and was thrilled to see his picture. He said he looks just the way he remembered him looking. Also, I have Ellen's date of birth as 1900 and her stone gives that as well. I am interested in your source for her date of birth. Thanks, Linda Hellard

Frank Bullock (Liberty Cemetery)
I have found a real old carved in stone of a Bullock in the Liberty Cemetery in Jackson County, Kentucky. I think it may be the one you're looking for. It is real hard to make out, but the "Bullock" is very readable. If you would like the picture just let me know and I'll send it via email.

Marvin, You were right (I should have looked more closely); anyway, I've this evening deleted the 'placeholder' photos from Lena's and Charlotte's Memorials you created, substituting instead the pictures from today's visit. It's been an honor collaborating with you. ~Mike

Greetings & Salutations from Nicholasville, Marvin!

I this afternoon (in between rain showers) took a photograph (or three) of their gravesite memorial. Note: I have a 'close-up' of Lena's side of the headstone, but I see there is a 5-picture limit?

If you'll delete the 'placeholder' shot, I'll be sure to add the close-up of Lena's side in its place for you.

~Mike

Thank you so much for the transfer of Barbara Keepes. I really appreciate it. I've done some research and have further info to add to her memorial.

Barbara Keepes
Marvin,

Okay, I figured it out. Barbara Keepes is the mother of Peter Keepes. Barbara's husband is also named Peter, which makes it a little bit confusing!

RE: Barbara Keepes
Marvin,

I don't know how Barbara Keepes is related to Peter Keepes, but by the dates I would have to guess it might be his mother. I would have to do some digging to try to figure it out. Thank you for making this memorial and letting me know about her. Please do the transfer and I'll try to figure out who she is.
