|Robert C Johnston Jr||Phelan Tidwell's Grave|
Yesterday, I had the oppurtunity to pass through West Blockton and stopped by the cemetery to see if I could find the grave of Phelan and his bride. I found the graves of B. C. and Eva Tidwell, but I couldn't find Phelan and his wife. I looked at every marke dgrave in that large cemetery. Have you seen his grave there before? Is he in an unmarked grave? There are many unmarked graves around B.C. and Eva's graves.
I also found the graves of Thomas H. Tidwell and his wife Gertrude and son Tommie, all buried near the entrance of the cemetery. Was Thomas H. Tidwell a part of Phelan's family? I'm adding them to find-a-grave now.

That's why I was asking about his parents. My line is Lucanda, William Hamaker, John Hamaker.
I was wondering if James Harve was connected. At that time frame and that location, it's most likely. And the Meeks connection definitely caught my eye.
When John Hamaker (born in PA; died in Jefferson, AL) was about 80, he married Rachel Meeks, 22. (1860 federal census) Her parents (Littleberry and Sarah and about 7 siblings moved into the Hamaker household).
Can we compare the names of the Meeks in the 1900 household to see if they're among Rachel's siblings?

You did not comment on whether you are family or not and I couldn't locate them in your on-line family tree. Please tell me the relationship, thanks.

I added the links you sent me, and I linked him to his wife Ellen Ethel Daniels. Do you happen to know her parents' names? Also, is Wendell Phillips, who died an infant, their son or grandson or some other relation.
I'm not related to them, at least not closely. I'm related to all the Boones buried there and a few other people.
If you are related to the Phillips I'll be happy to transfer the memorials to you. If you run across obituaries send them my way and I'll post them.
Absolutely any information you have about anyone buried there would be appreciated, especially maiden names and family relationships. I plan to visit the cemetery again early this Spring and photograph the graves I missed, then I'm going to do some intense research and overhaul all my memorials.
Thanks for all you do.

Glad I could help! My husband's Grandfather Tunstall was from north Baldwin County. The Tunstalls connect with the McGowans in that area. They're all buried in Latham Methodist Church Cemetery.

I have made the photos of the Wheats at the Green cemetery. Would you like to have them sent to you before they are downsized for f a g?
Most people do and they are so much better and easier to read before being downsized.

|MEHistory||Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery|
I was looking at the graves added for Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery and noticed you added a picture for Samuel Thomas Carter. My great-great grandparents, Robert Forsyth & Agnes (McKellar) Forsyth, are buried there too. It was neat to see a picture of someone (your Samuel) that most likely knew and associated with my great-great grandparents! Have you ever done any research at the church there? I was wondering if any old church records were available.
