Infant Bisby b/d 1940 #69964366
I denied your correction to birth and death date because this is a different child than the one who died in 1946 with the mother. The 1940 infant entry was taken directly from the cemetery records for that date. He is buried in a separate plot. His d.c. states his parents as George and Fannie. It was misspelled as Bislry but I added it to the infant's memorial. The infant who died in 1946 needs to have a memorial added. However, it's rather odd because the infant's d.c. states she died in Chicago while the mother's d.c. states she died in Springfield. The obit for the mother Fannie does state she died at the hospital in Springfield so something must have gotten mixed up for the infant.

Further thought. Gene Ford has already done this section and I think if there were a stone he would have found it. I am just wondering, if the 1950 date is the date the the stone was put on. The one that I found was a confederate marker 1846-1874
Name was William Armstead Hume with above dates.

William Hume in glenwood Cemetery
I goofed. I found a William Hume in Sec G-1, took the picture and posted it and then realized it was the wrong person. The one with a stone has dates from 1846-1874. You may want to enter your request again.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Oak Park Cemetery, Noble Cty
I checked the cemetery book for Noble County and could find no other Sessler, Sesler in Noble County except for St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Avilla, Noble Cty., Indiana. There is a Theresia and Wendelin Sesler buried there. Sorry I could not help you any more than that.

Cemeteries in Harris County
I previously thought my ancestor, William Amos Smith, was buried at Old Harrisburg Cemetery in Harris County. Looking back through something my great-grandmother(his granddaughter) wrote, he is buried at the old Allen Cemetery in Harrisburg, Texas. Have you heard of this? I can't find it. I still believe that it is located somewhere in the vicinity of Lawndale Street in Houston.

One of my ancestors, William A. Smith, is buried at the Old Harrisburg Cemetery, as my grandmother called it. His grave may be unmarked. He died around 1897. Do you have him on your plot map?

Thanks!

RE: Thomas Seslar Bridgeport Memorial Headstone.
I agree with you. It is more likely that he is buried in Ohio. This is a memorial marker created by his family, and a virtual memorial that works for now. The correct information can be added when we get it. Would you like to write something to go on the memorial page about this?

RE: T C Reilly headstone picture
OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People have worked on him for years to find where he came from, etc.
Making a spreadsheet of all the Reilly, Riley, etc, and eliminating them one by one, I had narrowed it down to the Thomas C Rielly that was from Louisville, Jefferson, KY. Son of Hugh and Margaret Rielly. (And you were correct in that the spelling is Rielly)

Name: Hugh Riley
Age: 37
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1813
Birth Place: Ireland
Gender: Male
Home in 1850 (City,County,State): Louisville District 3, Jefferson, Kentucky
Family Number: 346
Household Members:
Name Age
Hugh Riley 37
Margaret Riley 28
Thomas Riley 6
Anne Riley 4
Sarah Riley 2
Philip Riley 0

Name: H Riley
Age in 1860: 42
Birth Year: abt 1818
Birthplace: Kentucky
Home in 1860: Hempstead, Austin, Texas
Gender: Male
Post Office: Hempstead
Household Members:
Name Age
H Riley 42
Margaret Riley 40
Thomas Riley 15
B Riley female 5

Thomas C Rielly (don't know what the C is for) married Mary Seville Howell 2/24/1876 in Harris, Texas. They had Thomas Howell Rielly b. 1/10/1877 in Harrisburgh, Harris, Texas.
The descendant knew Thomas' name from Mary's obituary which mentioned him dying 51 years before, though it turns out it was longer. (The obit is on her memorial)

I am so glad there is now more than just a headstone for this man.
Mary's memorial number is 7039274
Thomas (the son) is 7039271

You went above and beyond and we so appreciate your help!

RE: T C Reilly headstone picture
I'm helping someone find his parents and all she had to go on was his wife's obituary who said he had died 51 years before her. They had a son together named James H Reilly. Looks like they were married under 2 years when he died. The obit made us think he died in 1887 but never know who supplied that information. The census has him being born in Kentucky. I was really surprised to run across this memorial, not to mention a picture. Since the words are under the b and d dates, I'm hoping it's towns. When I get a headstone like that, I pick up the dirt and feel the letters. The dirt also makes the letters a little darker and easier to read, not to mention being natural elements. Does the cemetery have records that old where they would have something on that grave?

Suzanne
You took a picture of T C Reilly's headstone in the Glendale Cemetery, Harris, Texas. There appears to be some writing under the birth and death dates. I was hoping, if you go by again, that you could tell me what that writing says. It might be his birth place and death place, which would be very helpful.
Thanks

Hi!

We've received your request regarding Asa Bisby. Currently Mother Nature is less than cooperative. Our area is blanketed with about 3 ft of snow!

We print the requests received, and as soon as we can gain Mother Nature's cooperation, out the door we'll go with our cameras in hand!

Best regards,
Rebecca & Paul
