RE: Adell Frances Richhart
Adell's paarents were my grandparents--Alonzo and Grace (Bush) Ritchhart. They were homesteading SE of La Junta and she took ill. Since they only had a horse and buggy, they sent their oldest son on horseback to the neighbor to ask if he would drive them by car to the doctor in La Junta. Adell either died enroute or shortly after getting into town.

Do me a favor and submit these change requests through the Edit tab on the memorials. Many of us get so many change requests that it bogs us down if the procedures are not followed by everyone.

Thanks, have a great day,
Will

Aunt Jan
Rosalie Austin Stites
Hi,
I'm a 3rd to Rosalie #18937358 (we share the Hope bloodline) and have an original wedding photo of her and Frank, with her parents, Ray and Goldia Austin Stites. I would love to add it to her memorial so that other relatives can see it, if that's alright with you. I'll wait for your approval.
Thank you
Janalou Adams-Sonafrank

I have deleted her memorial for Aurora Maes, because Daniela #47489273 posted the obit for Aurora Maes on David, Gilberto, Manuel and Thomas Maes. Aurora Maes obit that was posted is memorial#82104165 in the Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, Otero, Colorado.

COOKs in Oaklawn Cemetery, Oakland, IA
As you know, I have posted photos for your requests for John, Birney, & Waldo COOK. Amos COOK was on the same stone as Birney & John. Is he a brother? I created a memorial page for him to post his portion of the stone. I would be more than happy to transfer management of that page to you if you will request it. Also, I photographed the gravestone of brother Charles W. COOK and have posted it. Thought you might want to take a look.

Lona Wallace
Hi. Just wanted to let you know that I posted a photo for Lona. She is buried in what they call the public sections. Most people that are buried in these sections did not have the money to place a marker. The cemetery office can not say if there is a marker or not. Myself and other Find A Graver walked the section but did not have a marker.

RE: Eliza j Hicks-Carey
Hi Evelyn,

I just got off the phone with the man who has all the records for Mt Olivet Cemetery. He checked for "Eliza," and said she is not listed in Mt Olivet.

He said the cemetery wasn't started until 1856 which is several years after her death in 1852.

RE: Eliza j Hicks-Carey
Hi Evelyn,

I haven't given up on Eliza just yet. There are two "Carey" plots and one "Hicks" plot adjoining each other, and there are open spaces along with one or two stones which are extremely weathered.

She is not listed in the Clay County cemetery book which was compiled in 1988. Her grave may be unmarked, or the committee couldn't read her name on a stone. Who knows?

I will also contact the gent who maintains the master record listing of names for the cemetery to see if she is listed from the early records.

On a warmer day, I will go back up to the cemetery to check the stones in the three plots.
