RE: Harry Smith
You are welcome - I thought it lovely that you were referred to as his daughter, rather than stepdaughter in his funeral notice.

RE: Harry John Smith, Jr
Thanks for your kind explanation. Memorial transferred. He sounds like a lovely man.

Harry John Smith, Jr
Find A Grave Memorial# 55335876

I received your request and am confused as no stepchildren are listed in his obituary (names removed).

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of Vero Beach and Washington; a son of Alexandria; a daughter of Chevy Chase; and four grandchildren.

Conrad Kyler
Hello. I have visited OLD PERKS CEMETERY and cannot find a gravestone for CONRAD KYLER...i did find one for his wife, catherine and ABRAHAM KYLER. May I ask where you received information that CONRAD KYLER is buried in this cemetery? We have tried to locate a verification of his burial location. Thanks so much. Patti

RE: Reinsteins
I wish they did have a marker but we looked at every stone within about 100 feet of where the plot was supposed to be in Section Q. When you click on the picture you will see in the caption that I included the GPS coordinates of this area in case someone else wants to start from there on a new search. Using the numbering system from the many stones and markers with plot numbers on them, the location of the target plot can be narrowed down in good time. There are many plots in that cemetery without stones. In some cases with old sandstone monuments they weather and crumble or become fragile and are knocked over by careless power equipment operators. We are comfortable with this location but if you are certain that our information is incorrect I will delete the photos. We are 500 miles from the cemetery so we will not get back to there anytime soon for any follow up. Thanks - John

Euretta Youle Halsey, Vault 51, NYMC
It's a very strange vault. The wall tablet is a replacement - the only small one in the Cemetery, and set a couple of feet lower than it should have been. This was probably done when the Dead House was removed from that corner about 50 years ago. The true vault owner, to my way of thinking, is Perkins Nichols, the father-in-law of Ralph Wells. Several Cadles are buried there, but never appear in the ownership records. If you'll give me your email address, I'll send you an annotated vault listing for the entire vault.

I left a problem report on your prior photo request. I have gained access to the East Poultney Jewish Cemetery but many of the stones are in Hebrew only. If you can give me an idea what these names would look like in Hebrew, I'd be glad to try again.

Euretta Halsey
Hi! I noticed you have a duplicate photo request for Euretta Halsey, which includes a memorial for her in the wrong cemetery. Hopefully you can delete the incorrect memorial.

According to the websites for the cemeteries, she is in "New York Marble" and not "New York City Marble." I bet these similar names confuse a lot of people, as they each link to the other cemetery's website.

Leota Boardman

Could you please fix the name of Leota Maxine "Lee" Turner Davis Boardman? Davis should not be in the surname field for it throws off the search if someone would be looking for her.

Greetings again, and thank you for such a quick reply.

I tried sending e-mail to from

If either message makes it through the spam traps, we'll be connected. FindaGrave warns me thses messages stay forwver, so I'll warn people in 2108 that those addresses are as of January 2008 and may go bad after I die.

I'm not related. I sold my services as a genealogist to a woman who is the daughter of Clair Jury and Vera Ada Turner at our church's talent auction. I'd be happy to share what I've found with you.

I'll look for the book.

Thank you again
