|Deb||RE: Transfer Mt Homer|
Vicki, for consideration, you will have to tell me (again) "who is who" and what their relationship to you is. Use the edit tab and tell me on each name. I will consider them but cannot promise I will transfer every one .... that is why Find A Grave has the virtual cemetery feature available. That way ANYONE can have ALL their family tree under their umbrella whether or not they maintain the pgs. This feature is recommended/suggested by Find A Grave because there is no way any single person can have all their family under their maintenance. Family trees overlap and numerous people are related to same lines. That's why transfers are to be done (preferably) to direct family....and only if someone has extensive changes to make that the creator doesn't care to make. I work the memorial pgs every day for hours upon hours; adding, editing, updating. Please feel free to send anything you'd like to add and I'll gladly add it.
There was a time when I transferred any name to anyone that asked if they were family or just a dear friend or neighbor. Too many people never added/updated the names and they just sit there in limbo. Others were name collectors who had no intention of ever updating the pgs, again those sit in limbo. While others got mad because I transferred "great aunt Susie Q" to one "cousin" when I refused another "cousin". Find A Grave set the guidelines for transfers, not me. It took me a while but I realized they had those guidelines for a reason ... thus why I try to stick to them now.

Mount Homer Cemetery in Milam County, TX ..?
Its been a while but if I remember correctly, several of the names in this cemetery were "in your family tree", but not immediate family or direct line ... yes/no? Refresh me please!
I am always available to add further info to any name not in someones immediate/direct line. Feel free to use the new "edit" tab function and send whatever you wish added/updated to a name ... you will be credited for the info.

Vicki...I wanted you to know that I was in this cemetery yesterday and the headstone for M. Summerville has fallen over and the writing is now almost illegible. If you know a member of this family, it would be nice to let them know so someone can do some "rescue" work. Kerry Harrigan Fillip

In regards to Rev. J. R. Shinn, you have him as born in 1812. Is it possible to return to the marker and have another look. Records indicate that he was born in 1818, old extractions also indicate 1818.
Any help on this is appreciated. Sylvia Trotter
