If you don't mind, I'd be glad to accept a transfer of Raymond's memorial--I'm planning on putting up a gravestone picture eventually, and maybe whatever other information I might find about him. Thanks.

Unfortunately (though understandably), this memorial is actually in the wrong cemetery. A friend of mine is Raymond's grandson, and as part of my Findagrave activities, I've been researching some of my friend's ancestors. I've been told that Raymond is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Avon, Hartford County, Connecticut, and not in the St. Mary's in Windsor Locks. Though it's technically over the town line in Avon, the former is the cemetery for St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish in Unionville, where Raymond grew up. (Apparently, for various reasons, he chose to be buried in the town he grew up in, rather than with his father in Windsor Locks.) The confusion is understandable, as I had already noticed that Raymond's obituary is quite misleading, referring to St. Mary's Church in Windsor Locks (after mentioning St. Mary's in Unionville) and then saying only "St. Mary's Cemetery" rather than specifying which town.

There are no actual graves for any of the 31,000 + sailors who died in the Pacific, but only names inscribed on the walls of the memorial. I will try to get a photo of that name in the future.
If you know his parents' memorial numbers, please send them to me so I can add their links to his page.
Thanks very much!

Hello Bill, thank you for checking the records to see if Lucy had a grave marker. I have quit a few people who elected not to have some kind of marker...making it difficult for future generations to find them. Pat

If you look at the memorial, I have made the change. I made the correction before I saw your edit, so the only choice the edit gave me was to decline your edit. It as been updated as per the headstone and your edit. Thank you so much for the photos and links to the obits!

Thank you for the follow thru. This is actually a wrong Lewis Miller than my hunt. I am looking for Lewis E. Miller, born 16 May 1886 in Luzerne, PA and died there on 20 October 1938.
his wife, Mabel Lucille Erb Miller, born 29 May 1887 in Ontario, Canada, is my great aunt. She died in Hazleton, on 23 February 1932. Vine Street Cemetery is referenced on her death certificate. I have not found either burial. Neil Thomas,

It is funny her husband John W Hope was born in raised in Raritan, NJ which is only 4 miles from where I currently live...small world. I know you sent Mary Elizabeth and Harold Hope...not sure who they were but they must have been related. Thank you again my friend...Pat

That is fine I will send you the info. Do you
know when Dora P. Boyd died? I have a time
line on her alive in 1959 living. Age 91.
There is nothing after that date. I don't remember
if I asked before if you have any pictures of
the Praetorius family. I have a picture of their
coat of arms if you would like a copy.
Did Dora have any children? Did you make a memorial
page for her.

|NoreenP||RE: notre dame|
Ok I called st. Charles, pinelawn and plainlawn. None of them have a listing for joseph. Each one checked with a few other cemeteties that they have connections with and he isn't buried there. St. Charles has a listing for someone with a similar name but different year. I called the funeral home and they dont have records ftom that far back. They merged with another funeral parlor like 10 or 20 yrs ago, so I don't know if thats when they lost or got rid of records. All of the people that I spoke to had never heard of notre dame cemetery in farmingdale. One said she heard of one in jamaica queens, but I was unable to get in touch with that cemetery. I saw 3 dobrovolsky's at long island national cemetery, but none were the one you were looking for. Theonly thing I can suggest is for you to put him on findagrave as buriel unknown and in the bio section put that you are still researching it. I know they don't like when you put a picture of the obit on here, but I would only bc maybe someone else might be able to figure it out if they see it. Oh one of the women I spoke to said that there might be a notre dame cemetery in franklin county. But thats upstate so I didnt look there. Maybe you can try that one. Sorry I couldn't find him. But if you do find he is in st. Charles ir somewhere near here let me know.
