RE: Benjamin Williams photo request

Benjamin's death certificate does say he is buried in Gilman City. There is another tiny cemetery in Gilman City but likely he is buried in the Masonic Cemetery but just without a headstone.

Here's his DC:

Lynda M Lindstrom - Conflicting date on headstone
Hi Carole,

I think I have taken the photo you have requested, but the year of birth you've listed does not match the headstone. The headstone lists the year of birth as 1941, and you have 1942. Everything else matches

I did not want to post the photo without checking with you.

I have it online here for you to look at.

If this is an error, please let me know and I will post the photo. I have this one and another, which establishes the location in the cemetary.

RE: Moses VDP death date
I ade it to the Wilds Cemetery and after looking a long time, found his grave. I see why there are "2" monuments for him. the tall white one is for his wife Nancy and the other one is for him.
The air is so cool and damp so did not get much done and am going back to IL tomorrow or Friday, don"t know which yet.
Will have to come back in May or Jun and go cemetery shopping.
I got some nice photos of the monuments.

Moses Vanderpool
Received your package. Thanks much.
I noticed in the information that Moses death date is given as 1904-1914, thought being 1904 as there is no death certificate for him on Mo death records database.
I noted that the monuments say 1914 so that must be when he died.
I am in Trenton, and am going to the library tomorrow and see if I can find an obit on him.
There is also a book on Vanderpools there so will look at it for information too.
I think if the weather is as warm as it is suppose to be, I will go to the Wilds cemetery if I can find it before I go home.

RE: Picture of James Columbs Jones
I'm sitting here speechless. Where to begin. Maud and Walter Howell were my maternal Grandparents. I am the daughter of their youngest daughter Lois Aline Howell Smith.

I have managed to find the Grandfather of James Columbus Jones (1861 - 1930). If my information is correct his Grandparents were James and Lydia Jones, and one or both were born in North Carolina. I estimate their dates of birth to be 1796 for James and 1804 for Lydia. I came to this conclusion based on their ages on the 1850 & 1860 Census for Wayne Co., MS. Any and all information you have on my Jones line would be very much appreciated. Searching this line has not been as hard as I thought it would be, but searching my Smith line has been a real headache (LOL). I'm going to continue to search for more ancestors on the Howell line, and when I get more I'll let you know.

Picture of James Columbs Jones
I can't thank you enough for posting a picture of my maternal Great-Grandfather. At one time I had a small tin type picture of Ellen, but sadly it got lost in a move. I was wondering if, by chance, you had any more pictures of James, Ellen, or both together?
