RE: Hannah Sewell Tappan
Hi Beverly, We have solved the mystery of Old Town Cemetery. It is the early name for what is now called the First Parish Burying Ground. I don't see that there is a memorial for Jacob, only for Hannah (#83946266). They are both buried in Plot B-2 at the First Parish Cemetery.

I just came across some incorrect information regarding the Old Town Cemetery in Newbury, MA. There actually is no Old Town Cemetery, but the listings in the early death records are no doubt referring to the Old Town section of Newbury, which was the original settlement (there is the also Byfield & Plum Island sections). The Old Town Cemetery is actually the Evergreen Cemetery (also known as Dole's Pasture & the Lower Green Cemetery in early days). The part behind the iron fence is the original burial area, and when they ran out of room it was extended to the area in front of the fence. It is a privately owned cemetery.

The reason I wanted to contact you is because you have added a memorial to Old Town Cemetery for Hannah Sewell Tappan/Toppan. (#83946266) She is not at the Evergreen Cemetery, but rather you will find her at the First Parish Cemetery in Newbury. She is in Plot # B-2 with her husband Jacob. I am just becoming familiar with the website, but I did see that I should send you a correction request via the EDIT button, so I will do that. Hope this is helpful.

Eleazer/Eleazar Josselyn
I have sent you a SAC in reference to spelling for Eleazer Josselyn, to Eleazar. A close look at the photo of the gravestone indicates the spelling. It appears both ways on vital records, so it has been a source of confusion.

Thank you so much,
Linda Josselyn Morris

Seth and Priscilla Crooker
Hi Beverly:

Is there any possibility that you might have photos of the grave stones for Priscilla Keen Crooker or for her daughter Melinda Crooker Morton. Both, I believe are buried in the Highland Cemetery in Poland, Me. I am also looking for whatever death records might exist for both them and Seth Crooker. Thank you.

Rollin A. Keene
I added a photo to his memorial. I hope this photo is actually Rollin A. Keene. Rollin's first wife (I believe) was Flora Hanscom. I added a photo for her too. If you know--can you please advise me if this photo is Rollin Keene?

Hi Beverly!
I see you have added the info & photo for Rhoda Keene at Elmwood Cemetery. Rhoda is my 6x great grandmother. I was wondering if you knew what the bottom of her headstone says? It says her husband was drowned in the Bay of ??? 1911....I think it says that anyway haha! Anyway if you happen to know what it says could you let me know? Thanks!

RE: Nellie Gurney Taylor
You are welcome and thank you for pointing out my error. I was working on an ancient cemetery that I didn't know that was already photoed but all the photos were poorly done and no written inscriptions and she missed many of the buried in the small family cemetery and I asked for a year for her many errors to be fixed and she wouldn't until I contacted Find A Grave last month. I would like to fulfill many more requests but it has been a busy summer. I did look for 10 people in 2 cemeteries today but none of them had stones so either they are not buried there, which I know is the case with some of them and some of them no longer have or never had a stone.

Susanna Snow Tracy
Hi Beverly

I wanted to personnally say "Thank You" for adding Susanna Snow Tracy to Find a Grave, Briggs Burying Ground in Mass., U.S.A. (Feb 25, 2013)
She is in our line of descendants back to Richard Warren also. I have been searching for where she was buried for quite some time with no luck. I have requested on Find a Grave for a photo of any stone there may be, or cemetery inscription. It would be amazing if there was some grave marker that could be photographed, but I understand there may not be.
"Thank You" for all you do, we are blessed to see glimpses of relatives from our past from people like you.
Sincerely Pamela

Lee Belyea
Evidently, the issue you referred to has resolved itself...there is no longer a memorial for L. Belyea in Heritage Gardens.
The Department of Veteran's Affairs provided the information regarding placement of Lee's ashes in a
columbarium niche within the Barrancas National Cemetery.

Semper Fi,

Hi Beverly,
I am not related to the vast majority of the people whose names I enter, so I am always happy to reunite them with their families.
