Good evening Sir/Ma'am. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to contact Forest Home Cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) for your photo request(s), ask them whether or not there is a grave marker, and then either post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

Should you choose not to accept this mission, your photo request will most likely continue to go unfulfilled. This message will not self destruct in five seconds. Good luck! Ace

Forest Home is a massively humongous cemetery with well over 100,000 burials, and the information is vital in order to photograph a grave for you. Forest Home disavows all photo volunteers, refusing to aid them in finding graves, so your mission is indispensable and integral to helping fulfill your photo request.

From the Find A Grave Dossier: All personnel are advised that Find A Grave states it is the responsibility of the photo requestor to provide the grave plot (section and lot number) to assist the volunteer photographers.

Mission Success: Last year I successfully completed 200 photo missions at Forest Home Cemetery that had the grave location provided by the photo requestor. In just over a year I have successfully concluded over 1,400 photo missions with over 600 already successfully completed in 2014.

RE: Cornelius and Alice Connors
Did you also know that in 1940 Mary Conners Lawson lived next door to her brother who was my grandfather, my grandma and my dad and my uncle? I love looking at original documents.

RE: Cornelius and Alice Connors
ok cousin, I understand. Mary E. Conners was your grandmother? Her brother, James K Conners was my grandfather. I am currently in the process of working on the Conners family tree on Ancestry.com. Have you done any work on there you'd care to share? If you'd like to share what I've done so far, please send me your username on there and I will set you up to share. My user name is KristineConners

We are all from Chicago. Cornelius (Neil) and Myra (Alice) all moved to Chicago and lived there for quite a time. My dad, uncle, brothers, myself, my cousins and so on were all born in Chicago. Are you from there as well? I wasn't sure if Mary E. Conners ever migrated to Chicago with the rest of the family. Any info would be great to know and glad we connected!

hi there. I believe that 51009607 Johnny Conners is my great grandfather's brother. My great grandfather had a brother Johnny Conners in the 1880 census that was about 11 years old.

Reminder for Caroline & August Herbert
Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker?

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

This cemetery will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave's location and the Find A Grave FAQs (Help File) states it is the photo requestors job to provide this information.

Thank you! Ace

RE: Elizabeth Maynard
You are very welcome! I enjoy getting out of the house to do cemetery hunts now and then. As for Elizabeth's daughter, Thankful Maynard Lisle, I saw no other stones in the area where Stephen and Elizabeth were buried. There was a Henry Maynard that I posted his picture also to his memorial page. I'm sure there are other family members buried there in that family plot, but unfortunately there are no other stones. I did not look for the name LISLE. I will do that next time I go!

RE: Ethel Carter
I am so sorry! Thank you for your post. That is so neat! Do you have any information on Ethel or her mother's parents? (Alzada Adams), so far we think her parents are George Washington Adams and Louisa J. Rogers. Also, do you have any other pictures with Ethel and her parents or siblings that you could email me? Thank you so much! I will try to check this more often!

RE: John Lisle # 47057557
I'm glad that the photo of John's marker was helpful. My husband and I walked the entire cemetery taking photos of all legible markers, and John was the only Lisle we found. I checked the cemetery index that lists all burials up to 1990 and there was no entry for Thankful or Sarah as being buried there. So sorry I can't be of more help.

Ethel Carter & John Carter
Thank you so much for offering to share the pictures with me! I can't thank you enough. My email address is Recipefiles808@gmail.com. All of the photo's that I have gotten are the one's that are posted on the find a grave memorial pages. I would be happy to forward you what I have saved. I did not grow up with the carter side of the family, so I don't know much about them or have any photo's. My grandmother was a carter, but we mostly got together with my grandfather's family The "Higdon's". I will definatly keep in touch and let you know if I get any new photographs.

Thank You,

Alanna

RE: Ethel Carter & John Carter
I didn't hear back from S Jordan but I do have lots more pictures. Evelyn passed away last year and she had two trunks full of photos. Many from Ethel Carter Robins, her mother. I will go through them and can scan and send some to you. Just send me your email address. Do you have any photos? Wow! Frank had a lot of wives!

Ethel Carter & John Carter
Hello,

I found your post regarding the picture posted of John and Ethel Carter http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=33410782. I am also related to John C. Carter via his brother Frank c. Carter. Do you have any other pictures of the Carter family you might be able to share? Were you able to get in touch with "S Jordan" about other pictures too?

Thank You,

Alanna

Ethel Carter
I was so excited to find the family photograph on John C. Carter and Alzada Carter's memorial. Ethel Carter is my husbands great grandmother. Do you have any other photographs of this family? I see his grandmother (Ethel's daughter) very often and I would love to share them with her. Thanks for adding this photograph to the site. Such a wonderful thing to come across!
