Grace
Is William R Myers brother to John Myers?
William R Myers from Richland County, IL was from Virginia and his date of approximate birth makes him a potential brother to the missing brother of John Myers born 1808. I have been looking for John Myers brother, who would have been born around 1811 or 1812 according to the 1810 VA census under Phillip Myers. My ancestor was John Myers born in 1808 in VA. His father Phillip Myers was an original land grant owner in Wabash County, IL 8/25/1830. John Myers died in Natchez, MS and is buried at the Natchez Cemetery because he died of cholera during a flat boat trip in 1852 from Richland, Edwards, or Wabash County IL down the Mississippi River to New Orleans. His record is on FindaGrave.com. John Myers has many descendants in the Richland County Illinois area even today. And I am one of them.

Dora Bender
David, I found a marker for D Bender at the Northwood Cemetery, but there's no other verification that it is Dora's. Shall I upload it?

David,
Does your memorial #35868738 have facts associated with it at First Methodist Episcopal Cem? Curiously the same name as #9026127 but with more details.

Hi David, I meant to ask you awhile back if you minded if I added you to my friends list. We seem to be searching for a lot of the same peoples. Wondering are you taking part in the Mount Mariah revitalization group?

John Myers stone, Arlington cemetery
This was the only John Myers in the area indicated by the cemetery's map, though the DOB differs from that of the photo request. Caroline Myers's stone was missing, I'm sorry.

RE: Ella Lynn Estrada
That's where she is buried. She is with Wharton. Normally when I have someone with no marker I can take a photo of the spot. As I put in the notes for the photo, she shares a plot with Wharton. If you would like I can take it off. Lin

RE: Transfer of Christian Bittner and Catharina Unhebent Bittner
Dear David,
I cannot begin to convey the excitement I am feeling to tonight over the transfer of so many Bittner memorials to me. Doing genealogy is not for the weak. It takes lots of perseverance, an ability to shout with joy over the great findings, and also a willingness not to judge when we discover information that seems unjust.
I really enjoy going to Salem Evangelical Church Cemetery as well as other cemeteries that hold memories for us. I've been to Christian and Catherina (Catherine) Unhebent Bittner's farm.
Great Work!
Betty

Betty L. Bitner
Transfer of Christian Bittner and Catharina Unhebent Bittner
Dear David,
I am grateful to you for transferring the memorials of my 3rd great-grandparents to me.
I think I've tracked the Bittner/Bitner to the 10th or 11th Generation. As you know validating this information takes time.
I'm now in the process of researching my Bittner/Bitner ancestors' marriages and baptisms prior to their immigration to our country.
Thanks again for all your hard work!

RE: David Myers, Highland Ce, Miami, OH
David, Thank you for your quick response. Since writing you I have found a bio on David and yes, he was born in 1824 and younger than his first wife, Belinda Williamson, so what you have is certainly correct. He married Belinda May 5, 1846 in Miami Co, OH. She was born 27 Apr 1815, OH (probably Clermont Co), died 15 Aug 1876, burial Highland Cem. Her parents were James and Sarah (Pierce) Williamson.

Again thank you,
Claudia Mader

Loretta Lynn Layman
FindAGrave Mem 42480752 - Rebecca J. Layman
Hi David. I've just suggested edits to Rebecca's birth date and places of birth and death. I used an online birth date calculator with her age at death and date of death. The family lived in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland in the 1860 census; and the 1870 census shows that her parents had children born in Maryland in 1859-60, 1863-64, and 1866-1867. Since Rebecca died in 1865, it's pretty certain her death occurred in Maryland; very probably in Hagerstown.

HI! Would you be so kind as to copy the photo from Myers, Sr., Find A Grave Memorial# 20721009 to his wife, Dorothy V Myers, Find A Grave Memorial# 154785087. The obituary for their son, Ray III states "late," applying to both.

Many thanks!
