Old pictures
People who post old pictures on find-a-grave with incorrect information, and then disappear do a disservice to the other members. People who admit that they are amateurs should NOT post pictures of grave sites they are not willing to maintain, or know absolutely NOTHING about. I've had many problems trying to correct misinformation about my ancestors because some amateur posted a picture and incorrectly described the picture, and then disappeared into the woodwork. Please do us all a favor and stop being so helpful.

RE: New Hope Cemetery - Oakman, Alabama
Sorry, it looks like someone posted the photos on July 4th, but didn't let me know they were in the wrong cemetery. Instead of this New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery, they are in New Hope "Holy" Church of Christ Cemetery. I've made the corrections. Thank you for your efforts. :)

I see you have a photo request for this person. I have been to this paupers cemetery many times and will eventually make it there again but many of the markers are difficult to find as they are in woods and overgrowth among other problems. Fortunately, in 2007 the local Jr. ROTC program at one of our high schools photo documented many of the graves, including your 3rd great grandmother. Here is the link. She is listed as HENDERSHOT, UNKNOWN

Sorry I am not related, just a Find A Grave volunteer. In 2010, I using a Rootsweb site to enter data into Find A Grave (at that point the Rootsweb site was not very user-friendly). Usually, if I get notes from people, I add them under the bio tab.

Rebecca Zimmerman
Hi. My husband and I went and searched the Middletown Cemetary and came up with no Rebecca Zimmerman. A lot of the stones are unreadable and there are also a lot of unmarked graves. Do you have any idea where her plot may have been located? If so, I will happily go back out and look again.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 38922588
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I see that I do have her listed as Elmina Miller on the memorial of her spouse. I don't know where the came from, but I assume it was some type of typo. I checked her memorial and I do have her maiden name listed as Uhler on the memorial. I linked Elmina to her husband and several of her children. Regards.

Thank you. I could not find a memorial for sister Reydonia Corry Hutchens so I created one and hope someone who knows where she is buried will reply.

RE: Rowe Cemetery - Walker Co, Alabama
Hello! So good to hear from you :) Great to hear someone else has the "bug" lol. I have the pictures but have never uploaded so please feel free to do what you can to finish! The enormous amount of photos I have will never allow me to finish. When I lived there I had a limited wifi account and basically was able to transcribe but not upload, thus the numerous names without photos. I am trying now to catch up but it is very time consuming with the hundreds of thousands of photos I have amassed over the years. I will say, I never completed Patton Hill, Fairview in its entirety, Mt. Carmel in Cordova, Barney, East Dora, or Zion over in Parrish. Those have bugged me since I moved. Thanks so much for what you are doing for Find a Grave, this site has blessed so many because of people like you.
