Would the James A. Hughes of Sugden Cemetery in
Jefferson County, by chance, be the husband of a Matilda Baker?

I don't find either of them in my postings under the names you gave. Are they mine? If so, what are their Find A Grave numbers?

Thanks for the information. I added it to America's memorial. Are you related to America? When I was a little girl, I used to walk down to their little grocery store. I loved going in there. It always smelled like grape koolaid.

I transferred her husband Francie Marion, too. Better to keep them together and I'm not related to either.

Thanks for the correction on Cynthia. I am not sure who sent the links that I had on the memorial, but if I had been paying attention, I could have seen the dates indicated it was an error. Are you perhaps related to Cynthia? I am always happy to transfer any of my unrelated memorials to family. Just let me know.

|Melanie Atkins||RE: Grace Atkins Trusty|
Grace was first married to Earnest Christopher Steen (1822-1960). He is in Findagrave (#70079621).
Grace was still living with him on the 1930 census of Choctaw Co., OK, and they only had 9 year old son, Leslie Jackson Steen. He is also on Findagrave (#71012457), but his date of birth is incorrectly listed as 5 Feb 1912, it should read 5 Feb 1921 and he died 25 Sep 1955.
Do you have any photos of Grace that you could post to her page? I have never seen photos of any of Jasper Atkins' family. He used to make visits back to Yell Co., AR, from OK, but never brought his family that I know of.
If interested, there is an interview of Jasper Atkins online at: http://digital.libraries.ou.edu/whc/pioneer/papers/12148%20Atkins.pdf

Donna: Remove your photo of Henry Clay NIGH [link # 39787042] & Electa May SLOVER [link # 39784594]on both of their listings and reload it as a personal NOT A GRAVE picture so it will stand a top of the grave picture's I loaded. Also, about when was that photo taken. Henry Clay NIGH [link # 39787042] & Electa May SLOVER [link # 39784594] would have been first cousins to my 1st Great-Grandparents Ross Newton HAGAN [link #41516465] & Ethel Pearle SHIRLEY [link # 41516452] (the blood being between Electa and Pearle).
