|Lorrie Pinkston-Atchley||RE: Montgomery Canada|
I went ahead and posted the stone, but I also left a message with the photo and I placed a picture below with a message as well. So if anyone knows that this is not Montgomery's marker stone I will remove the picture. I received a very hateful email one time from another contributor about a grave stone picture I had taken and added to the page. Even though the family member had passed 2 years prior to my posting of the picture the person had a mental health breakdown about me placing the headstone picture on the memorial page even though another member had requested the picture. I thought that was the purpose of having this website to document this information, but apparently I was wrong. So I have just started checking with contributors before adding pictures. If you decide you want me to remove the picture just let me know?

I wanted to let you know that I have searched for your grave request in the Nowata Memorial and according to the cemetery map Montgomery would have been buried in lot 01-57-01. I have searched the entire section of lot 01 several times and the space directly where Montgomery should be only has a very small type of marker stone with the letter M on it. I did not want to post the picture until I showed it to you first because there are no other details that say it is the correct grave, but it is in the lot and space where the map reports he would have been buried. If you like I can email the picture to you and you can decide if you would like to post it or not?

|BjJ||Eprhaim Dye Photo Request|
Hello. I wanted to let you know that I added a photo of the overall area in Block 2 where Mr. Dye is buried. This is a very old and small Block in this large cemetery, where there are hundreds of unmarked single graves. There are only a handful that remain and I have already posted those. It is quite something to stand there and know how many people are buried there with no markers, but that's just how it is. I'm sorry there was no better result for you but it is a nice area, well-maintained, as you can see in the photo. I did a search for an obit but didn't find anything. The info on his memorial comes directly from the original handwritten records. Any questions, let me know.

Thanks again for trying, and as we say sometimes what you can't find leads you to know that path is closed, so move on.

|GMT||RE: Katie E. Doyle Death|
Yes, that would be her. Thank you ever so for going beyond trying to find the other Doyle family members. I'm at a lost as to why all the Smartsville cemeteries were lumped together and have no idea how to get them seperate again.
I am a volunteer at the Historic Marysville Cemetery and we have one of the Doyle daughters, Annie in the Marysville Cemetery and I hoped to get them all linked and with their headstone photo's, but at least they have their memorials and with your news clipping I can at least up-date Katie's information. If you would like, please scan and add the news clipping to her memorial.
I just had a death in the family, so I might be out of touch, but I wanted to thank you. Ginny

|GMT||RE: Smartsville Cemetery Burials|
Thank you for trying, the Doyle family should be together in the same Cemetery, same plot. Several months ago a volunteer did fulfill my request for the father, Alexander 1819-1877 and one of the children Olive 1873-1875, but could not locate the Mother Elizabeth or the other children. They must not have headstones or markers.
Again thank you for your time, I'll leave the request up a little longer, but I doubt they would be in the other Smartsville cemeteries.

I've added the news articles to James Strouss' memorial. The obits, etc., make the memorials better - reminding us they these were people with real lives worth remembering.

Thank you for sending me the newspaper article regarding Mrs. Strouss' injury and subsequent death from tetanus. I've added it to her memorial as you suggested, and found it sad that we had no cure for such diseases in 1922. I don't know how you came across the article, but am grateful that you shared it.

|Montereygenealogist||Rose Stalter and John Wesley Stalter|
I did find a 1917 draft card online at Ancestry.com that shows him living in Monterey, working as a steam engineer in canning plant and married to a Rosa Stalter. and in 1920 census there's a John W. and a Roselie Stalter in Pacific Grove (next to Monterey) and he's an engineer at canning plant. In 1914, he's in Bakersfield as electrical engineer per City Directory. In 1910, in Kern County census as a roomer and an electrical engineer..no mention of Rose/Rosa/Rosalie.
of some help I hope

I have no information other than what is on the gravemarker. I might be able to find out more from the cemetery office...but from experience their records show minimal information. I will check out some local sources to see if I can find anything.

|Jennifer||RE: Nellie Trainor - Fremont Cemetery|
The only information I have on George after he and Nellie divorced would be from his WWII registration and the census; those both indicate that he stayed in the Chicago area. It is not clear to me why Nellie moved to Steuben County, her family was primarily in IL. I guess she must have followed one of her daughters.
