Thank you for your message. I personally know one of the Porr family descendants, and those last names you mentioned ring a bell. I'll contact Dave Eddy and have him get ahold of you. -Frank Passic.

RE: Thank You
Hi,Lois: Thanks very much for your response. You are correct. Robert Albert was my great grandfather. Our children had asked me to make notes about our family tree so I started the project a few days ago. I had a handful of funeral cards my father had stuffed in a prayer book and started from there. Doing a search for some of the names led me to your listing. I then called my aunt Jane, who is the only surviving member of that WWII generation, and we talked for over an hour while she filled in a lot of gaps. The story I had always heard was that Robert Albert had come over from Switzerland when he was about twenty-five. I was able to find an immigration entry for a Robert of that age who came to New York on March 8, 1886.

Robert and Katie had passed a few years prior to my birth. They lived in the house next to my grandparents on Seneca Street. I have pictures that I will be glad to scan and send to you but do not know how to bypass this public forum. Am I correct in assuming Katie may have been a great-aunt?

From your listing I was glad to learn of their parents, John Arn and Marie Fisher Arn. They were unknown to us. I would like to find out more information about them but I think that may be difficult by the way the census was carried out in Switzerland at that time.

Best regards,

Thank You
Lois: The work you have done here has greatly helped me and I can't thank you enough. I am related to Katie Rosche through my father. FInding this information led me to other sources and ultimately a long phone call to one of the few remaining people with first hand stories of Seneca Street. Pictures are forthcoming. This would not have happened without your work.

Dear Lois,

Even though the grave memorial states 'Colby' the death certificates for Henry and Mary have the last name of 'Culby'. This is how I knew the Henry Colby memorial was your posting. I did notice that the grave memorial for their daughters have the spelling Culbey.

I am glad to have found this out as I work hard to insure that the postings are as correct as possible. A lot of folks use Find-A-Grave as a free genealogy site.

Re: Williams Photos

Glad to be of help. I also photographed and uploaded a gravestone photo for William R Williams, Jr. I realize that may not be of immediate help, but that is the fourth of the four burial spaces in that particular lot. As an FYI, there are 288 Williams burials in Boulder County, 109 of which are buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont.

Good luck.

Isabelle Brown Pollock
I do not believe that this Isabelle Gilcrist Brown is the same as the Isabelle Brown who married James Pollock and is buried in West Lawn. My Great grandmother Isabelle Brown Pollock was born 9 Oct 1859 and I know my records are correct as I have her birth and death certificates. I also found an Isabelle Gilcrist Brown in Scotland's old parish records but she is NOT my g-grandmother. I would like to communicate with you in this regard.
Thank you for the good work you do.

I sent in a request to delete Deena Sessums duplicates. She has two that I see of the Hoagland's. Maybe she will respond. I try to bring it to the author's attention when I see it as it is often a very honest mistake for various reasons.
Especially when full names are not used in the original memorial or the place of burial is not entered when the memorial is placed on Findagrave.
It the latter, it is more a record of death. Today, it seems more and more people choose not to include cemetery information in their obits. Or they may be cremated and ashes scattered "who knows where".
I have had to delete some of mine too and I welcome any edits that gives more validity to my memorials.
Happy New Year to you.
Hint: Always use the edit and supply the memorial numbers that are in question, and why, when asking for deletion.

RE: Mary Polly Hoagland
YEs, if you go to the memorial that you want deleted (it has to be one that you were the originator) you will need to look in the upper right corner and you will see the word delete. Click on that and then you will get a second chance to decide whether you want it delete it or not. Click yes, if you want to go ahead. Give it a few seconds and it will be gone.
Any information that you want to transfer over to the existing one, you need to do that first.

I hope I have helped.

She is in Navarre in Union Lawn. There are two of them for her in that cemetery now and all we need is one. The other may be older and should be removed.
I am not sure if I answered your question or not and I am sorry if I did not.

I could send you a copy of the obit but it is already posted on the Find A Grave site 64848495 and yes, it was in the Evening Independent, Massillon, Oh, Fri.,May 20, 1932.
Otherwise, I would need a personal address to send it to, I would think. I cannot attach something to this message.
Thank you for the help that you are giving in straigtening this out. Michigan mother
