Adolph & Sarah ( Sally) Spenard
There are death certificates for both of them in Ancestry, which of course gives both their birth and death dates.

Adolph Spenard
HI Jan,... There is actually a copy of his Pennsylvania death certificate on Ancestry.com... if you'd like I can email it to you... I just need your email.
SO happy to have broken down a brick wall. It always feels so good. I have noticed the photo's from the Gauthier. IT's truly amazing all of the information on the Spenard family here on Find A Grave. I love when the whole family is connected.
Let me know if you'd like to have me forward on a couple of the ancestry documents.

RE: Allixt Mercier #25156081
HI Jan,
I have been transferring all of the Find A Grave information to the Spenard family. I did some research on Adolph Spenard,..Found his death, and burial in Arlington cemetery in Philadelphia. In the 1830 census he is widowed, and living with his daughter Bertha Nugent( nee Spenard) There is no record of his burial in Find A Grave at Arlington cemetery. But his death is listed in the cemetery log as 23 Jan 1933.
Just thought you might find this interesting.
Take care,
Diane Dionne Edwards
Please remind me,.. are you on Ancestry.com as well? If so, what is your tree name?

Just wanted to let you know the Noah's parents are on the site, Abdon Spenard #125850176 and Marie (Chandonnet)Spenard #7560039, so that you can connect them together as family. Take care, Bob.

SO that must make your Great Grandfather either Charles, or Adolph??? Are you still in the Homeland area of Kankakee, St. Anne area? Just curious. We always called Della,... Aunt Della, even though she was actually a first cousin to our Grandma Loretta. We would always have Thanksgiving down in their beautiful home in St. Anne. What memories my sister & I have of that home. Was your Mom close to Della? Yes,... it truly is a small world.
Thanks for sharing.

RE: Allixt Mercier #25156081
Jan,
Allixt Mercier is a sister to my Great Grandmother Elphier Mercier. Elphier & Charles Tetreau only had 1 child, that being my Grandmother Loretta Tetreau Dionne. Now may I ask how are you related? I am wanting to believe for you it is thru the Spenard lineage.???
Thank you again,
Diane Dionne Edwards

Can you please connect Allixt Mercier Spenard to her parents with their find a grave memorial numbers.
Her father Joseph Mercier # 107936073
and her mother Odille Perreault Mercier # 107936251. IT would be much appreciated. That way she shows up on Joseph & Odille's memorial as well, as their child.
Thank You, Diane Dionne Edwards

RE: Erle & Frank Woody
No, they did not die the same date, I had them right in my family tree, but must have put the same death date on both of them. Sorry for that, and glad you noticed it.

Sorry I am so slow. I have put literally hundreds upon hundreds of hours on these graves and have so much more to go. I would love to keep her, but if you can tell me how she is your great-grandmother generation by generation, I will turn her over to you. Please e-mail me at

RE: HALL GRAVESTONES
Your welcome!!
There were lots of 'Hall' gravestones in the cemetery, so if you come up with anymore names, let me know. I will probably be that way again in a month or so.

HALL GRAVESTONES
Jan,
I was in Goodland today and found two of your Hall's. I was unable to find John and Celia. I will look again the next time I am there. I have added the pictures and will transfer ownership now so that you can add additional details.

RE: Goodland Cemetery
I will add these people to my list. I do have a French Canadian connection. My Father's family(Provost), and my Mother's (Miiller or Muller), were both from Kankakee, IL area. I have some gravestones from there on Find a Grave, but would like to get back there some day to do more research.
I will let you know when I get the pictures.

RE: Ponto
Jan,
I do not have any more information on Leona Ponto. My family connection is through Ryland's Mother, Adelia (Bissonette) Ponton. Sorry that I wasn't able to help.
If you need anymore info from the area, let me know. I am not far from Remington, and get there occasionally. I am planning a trip to the Goodland cemetery in the next few weeks and would be happy to photograph any headstones that you might want added to Find-a-grave.
