Thank you very much for the photo of James and Myrtle's headstone.

((Ran across a lot of Chastain headstones when I was living in SC in Anderson County which borders GA. :) ))

Thanks for your response. If you could, please describe a general area for the headstone from the entry gate. This should help these older gentlemen find it (they plan to try and find it again). I hope they can. Thanks again, Jim.

Hey Mr. Brown. My wife's two uncles have tried to find J.J. Redwine's gravestone in the Eliasville, TX cemetery and cannot do so. I see that you have taken a pic of it for findagrave. Thanks so much. Can you confirm for us that the gravestone is indeed in the cemetery pictured on the same memorial page in findagrave? Really appreciate your help.

Susan Wright Brown
Susan Wright Brown is my 2nd great grandmother. My great grandfather Thomas Melvin Marshall married her daughter Nannie Rachael Brown. I saw where you had a letter from Susan's son and he was talking about her final days. Would it be possible to get a copy of that letter? Also would have anything on Nannie? I have very little. One of her daughters is still living but she was too little at the time of her death to remember anything about her mother.

Hello
I am the great granddaughter of Lee Roy Brooks. His father was Arthur Alexander Brooks. Anyway my son is doing a heritage project at school and we are doing it on Lewis Pinkney Brooks. I have learned so much just from reading your page and would like to know if you might be able to give us more information about him?

Lillie Dell Miner Braddock
Hello, it's me again! This time I have questions about the referenced memorial (#44372255). I'm looking at an old map of the South Bend Cemetery, dated 1993, and Lillie is not there, which makes sense since she didn't die until 1994! Can you tell me where in the cemetery she is buried? She is not with the rest of the Braddocks, and I'm not familiar with her name or the names of her parents, just wondering if she is kin. (I'm a great-granddaughter of Elbert Marion Braddock, #9029560.)

Thank you for your time--Helena

Ella Braddock Barrett
I'm a brand-new member of Find A Grave and just now looked up my Braddock family that is buried in South Bend Cemetery. I discovered that you and my cousin have made memorial entries for the same person: Ella Braddock Barrett. Your memorial number for her is 44369766 and my cousin's is 9033149. The reason for the duplication is that my cousin entered her as Ella Braddock, her maiden name, so you didn't see that she was already entered. I will contact my cousin and see if he wants to edit her name--it was probably just an oversight.

Would it be possible to transfer the photo of Ella's gravestone over to the other record?

Thank you for your efforts in this matter, they are much appreciated. Also, I'm curious: how did you come to make a memorial entry for Ella? I really don't know how all this works!

McAnear markers
Thank you for getting the marker for Uncle McAnear. I guess Aunt Dorothy never got a marker, which makes me sad.

Appreciate your kindness, in any case.

Thank you,

Regina

Brooks Family History by Weir
Hello! I am a librarian, and I have a patron interested in the book "Brooks Family History (History of L. P. Brooks Ancestors & Descendants) 1795-1979 - complied by Barbara Brooks Weir. Would it be possible to get some information on this book? Your posting here for John L. Brooke in Hall County, Georgia is the only google result for the book. Any information you can give me to help locate a copy, or have copies made from one, would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Yes, they are connected. Small small world. Pete is a second cousin (4x removed). His great grandfather Valentine K Shults Sr is my 5th great grand father :)

DB,
Yes, I'm connected to him (about 6 different ways, lol) My direct line is his mother Susannah Shults' family. She is a first cousin. There are numerous Shults/Blevins Marriages, my family tree holds a lot of research time of both families.

I'm not asking to manage the memorial. Like you, just want it accurate.

warm regards,
lori

The census reports have his parents in Caroll county Arkansas in 1838 (Arkansas, Compiled Census and Census Substitutes Index, 1819-1870) I will provide you with both the census and his civiil war pension record that show this to be true.

I'll reach out to him (your source) to see what proof he has. But a face value I see no proof of the WJ nor the birth location.

The rub is mostly that the WJ makes the memoral almost impossible to find for those of us who know his name is Squire or SE Blevins

Hi DBrown,
So I take it you've seen the "WJ" in writing on an official document?
