|bonehead||duplicate memorial for James M Blankenship|
I'm not related to the Blankenships but my wife is. I was doing family tree work for my father-in-law Howard Epperson but since he passed the rest of the family hasn't shown much interest.
I'm transferring my memorial to you as you seem to know much more than I about the Blankenships. I have double checked and verified that the grave marker is really located at Midway not Blue Eye. I have family buried at Blue Eye and I have done a complete survey of that cemetery in the past. I don't have any record or photos of James M Blankenship there. The obit shown on your memorial states that his funeral service was at Midway but the burial was to be at Blue Eye. Maybe that was changed after the obit was printed.
I'm also going to send you the photo of the grave marker taken at Midway.
I'll also transfer to you Mattie Oglesby 90887266 at Vinson Cemetery and Thomas Jefferson Blankenship 113720161 at Weogufka.
I hope this is acceptable.

Please leave our family alone. You eliminated one of Albert Cicero Blankenship's children. He had twins Annie Lee and Evie Lee Blankenship born in 1911 and died in 1911. Thank you very much. Barbara E. Blankenship

Thanks for noticing the link discrepancy. I have done almost no research or links on my Orange County listings, but suspect the person who listed Alda may have made the incorrect link as Alda's memorial page is quite detailed. So, I did request the lister of the correct CLB to make the accurate link, and that's about as far as I can go with it. Appreciate your vigilance! Linda

Thank you for the correction. As you can see I didn't make the memorial, it was transferred to me.
Will you share the dates you have for him?

Dear Ms. Blankenship, If you have any problem with regard to my suggested edits I would suggest that you consult our cousin Adger Smyth (firstname.lastname@example.org) or any other of the Adger relatives on the Adger mailing list. Or "Saratoga" who manages the Margaret Adger memorial.

|Richard Neel Sutton||RE: Robert Adger and Joseph Adger|
Hi Edith and thanks for the changes and updates.
Did I suggest that Robert and/or Joseph had more than one wife? I can't seem to get to my own messages to you.
Quoting from John Bailey Adger, "My Life and Times", p17, with reference to his grandmother, mother of James Adger II (20844740)
" After the death of my Grandfather (James Adger I) his widow married again. The second husband's name was Robert Rogers. He had been the foreman of the Dunean Mill. He soon ran through her property. being too fond of whiskey."
"In a little more than 10 years, viz., 1793, our Grandmother left Ireland for this country accompanied by her two sons, James (James II - 20844740) and Robert (20897380), her daughter, Betsy, also her intemperate husband Rodgers, and their four little girls. Esther, Margaret, Mary, and Isabella, the last named being an infant. They had a very long passage, as was usual in those days, namely 16 weeks and three days, arriving in New York January 1794. The other son, William Adger, had married young and emigrated previously coming to South Carolina. His wife's maiden name was McCrory, which is the Irish or Scotch-Irish way of writing Rodgers or Rogers. I do not know, but suspect that my Grandmother's second husband belonged to that family."
I am awaiting a large file of Adger info from cousin Adger Smyth of Raleigh, and I will enlarge later.

James Adger II (20844740)and William Adger (48818720) are brothers. It would be nice to have them linked as siblings. Their father buried in County Antrim, Ireland. Mother remarried a Robert Rogers and emigrated in 1793 with seven children, according to the autobiography of John B.Adger. Also according to JBA, William married a McCrory.
I am chasing the others down - wherever they are, they aren't going anywhere :)
I am John Bailey Adger's GG Grandson.
