Mr. Lemley's wife just passed this week. Would you be so kind as to add the beautiful photo you took of their grave marker to her memorial. Her name is Christine Lemley and her number is 166810672. Thank you so much,

Would you be able to add a picture of Lawson Riley to his grave memorial and I have Gilbert's obituary. He was Lawson's only son and drowned in the river in 1910.

Mike Cochran Cemetery
Good Afternoon,

I'm looking for the Mike Cochran Cemetery. I believe that my Great, Great Grandfather may be buried there.

Do you have an exact address for this cemetery or more information on how to find it?

Any additional information you could provide would be very much appreciated!

Thank you,

Re: Find A Grave naming conventions
Hi Human,
I can understand your frustration with the wrong advice you may have received from other uninformed contributors.

There have been many discussions on this topic in the Find A Grave Community Forums; very interesting reading if you have the time. ^_^

The bottom line is that Find A Grave records graves not death certificates; and the admins have specifically and clearly stated such in the Forum discussions.

When I first joined this site, I was perplexed on how to enter alternate spellings of some of the surnames in my family lines. My Gatchell/Getchell line has used both spellings interchangably since before the 1600s, sometimes even within the same generation 0_o . I also have Maguire/McGuire, Messenger/Messinger, and my all-time 'favorite': Rader/Rater/Raeder/Ritter (and about a half-dozen other variatons)... LOL. In all cases, the last name gets entered as it is on the headstone and variations explained in the bio or notes (same as with other married names).

Hope this helps clear things up for you.
Cheers, Rich

RE: Rosa Mae Johnson
Hi Human,
Thanks for replying on Rosa Mae Hatfield Johnson.

Find A Grave requires us to enter the last name as it is on the headstone and extra marriages in the family links or mentioned in the bio as you have already done.

The main reason for this is that it helps avoid duplicate memorials. A photo volunteer 'mowing the rows' would search the cemetery list for Rosa Glover, and not finding her would make a new memorial; ooops - Instant Duplicate. 0_o

What are your memorial naming conventions?
How do I enter all married names for a woman's memorial when she was married more than once?

Have a happy and SAFE holiday.
Cheers, Rich ^_^

Can you please tell me how to get to this cemetery in Dents Run? I am not familiar with the area at all but will be passing through soon. My 5th and 6th great grandfathers are buried there.

Thank you!

Dear Sir,
Since you added the original record to Fibd A Grave, maybe you can help me.
I have written to 3 different addresses for Holy Cross Cemetery in WV. hoping to get some information regarding genealogy on my family from their burial records. Each replied that the Holy Cross I have written to is not the correct cemetery. What exactly is the address for this cemetery in WV? The lastest address I tried is 279 Marshall St., Clarksburg, WV 26301 (the caretaker replied they have no record, that the photos of the 3 graves I sent are not in that cemetery-I copied them from this site). The other 2 letters were returned to me-no such address. Any aid you can give me I would appreciate. Thank yo so much Mary Scafo is my email address

Did a little research... 1st burial closed/ moved about 1970. So one would assume burials after that are possibly Cameron. Thank you so much for info on the road. Have not made it down there to see. So it is appreciated! Have a good evening! Gail

Dudley Robinson information
Memorial# 110190934

I sent in an edit for his city to be Lumberport. That is where this Robinson family is from. If someone said Clarksburg, it is nearby and could be counted as the city as well, but Lumberport is correct.
For his middle name, I have not seen it anywhere else either, so it would probably be okay to remove it without a source.
Thanks for your contributions! The Robinsons are my cousins going back to 1804.

I cannot believe that no more memorials have been out on for this cemetery. They sent rude messages to you and to me saying stop posting memorials in this cemetery... then they stopped. This one would have been done by now if they would not have been so ignorant. Findagrave should block those people from sending messages to people.
