Gia, By chance I noticed that you added a lot of photos to the Pitzer Cemetery quite recently.
I want to thank you so much. Your work is a treasure given that I live several hundred miles away.
I visited the cemetery a few years ago and would love to know what "condition," etc. the cemetery is in today.

| Gilboa Cemetery
Gilboa cemetery is located at 39.5471ºN 80.2086ºW just off Gilboa Road. You can use a GPS unit or search for those GPS coordinates at http://maps.google.com or a similar mapping site to find it.
Gilboa cemetery burials are posted on the USGENWEB Marion County, WV website. The graphic version at that site also includes a plot map for the cemetery.
NOTE: As Vi Parsons indicated earlier for Dragoo cemetery, you have to go across private property to get to Gilboa cemetery and should get permission first from the land owner.

I visited the Dragoo Cemetery in 1996. One of our family tried to access it a few years ago and found it inaccessible, covered with brush and fallen limbs. It is located off Monumental Road.
(The directions are at the end of this message.)
They are also posted on the USGENWEB Marion County, WV website. They also identify the cemetery as Dragoo-Ice. I have been trying for years to get this declared as a historic cemetery. I am trying to find a Scout or Genealogy group to volunteer to clean up and maintain it. My book, The Dragoo Cemetery of Marion County, West Virginia has detailed research of all the known graves. (There is a copy in the museum at Mannington.) All of the burials, except one are related to my third great grandfather John Dragoo (born 1847).
Driving Directions to Dragoo Cemetery
1. From Fairmont you take 19 North out of Fairmont.
2. When you get to Rivesville you will see a sign that says Route 17 towards Grant Town and Fairview.
Make a left there onto route 17.
3. Continue on Route 17 and pass Grant Town towards Keystone.
When you come to a sign that says "Keystone" on the right hand sign on the road, there will be a road immediately on the left, which is Route 21, also called Monumental Road.
4. Go Down Route 21 "Monumental Road."
Make a right on to John Kennedy Rd.
5. Once you turn on to John Kennedy Rd., go 7/10 of a mile.
On the right hand side of the road there will be a house at the foot of the hill with a split rail fence.
Immediately past this house is a paved driveway which you turn onto and go straight up to the top of the hill to the last house and park.
6. Slightly to the left and behind this house is a barb wire fence.
If you are facing up the hill you will walk on the left side of this barb wire fence and follow it to the top of the hill.
You will come to another barbed wire fence.
Cross over the barb wire fence at top of the hill
and cemetery is immediately to the right.
NOTE: You have to go across private property to get to the cemetery, and should stop to get permission from the home owner.
Be aware there are lots of briar patches, so dress accordingly and take work gloves and weed clippers.
