I suggested some corrections to her memorial. Although I would like to send you the sources for this information, I cannot seem to get the EDIT Tab to work.
(I think I need a new computer)
If you would like to send me your email, I will mail the sources to you directly.
Thank you for posting all the photos. They are so helpful in completing my family tree.
Take care, Silvia

I apologize for previous two messages, which are incomplete. I added some information to his memorial, but EDIT tab does not seem to be working this a.m.
You requested source information when adding information. I think that's a great idea. Since I cannot leave information with EIDT tab, I am leaving here.
Ward Smith McIntire is son of William Russell McIntire and Minnie Lucida Heflin McIntire (1900 Census) William and Minnie were married 7 Feb 1897 (West Virginia Marriage Records)
They were divorced.
In 1910 Census, he is living with Grandparents Benjamin Riley Heflin and Sarah Elizabeth Webb Heflin. He is referred to as "adopted son" and is using last name of Heflin.
WW I Draft Registration Records show he is still using last name of Heflin.
At some point in time, he went back to using McIntire as his last Name.
Birth and Death/place Information is from his West Virginia Death Record.
Thank you for putting his headstone on Find A Grave.
Take care, Silvia

|Rena||Headstone for George Baker #89219070|
I notice that there are two headstones. One really old one and the newer one. Is this to say that there are two of them in the cemetery of the same person. I know this happens, but just verifying.
I am trying to find info on George and it has been very difficult, so when I discovered this today, I was delighted, if in fact is is ours. The family Bible has he and wife Elizabeth in Woodview Cemetery in Ohio and I could never find it.
Thank you and have a great day.

You have given permission to upload your photos to personal family trees. I would like to upload the photo of my great-uncle's grave to my personal family tree on Ancestry.com, which would be available for online public viewing. Is that still ok?
Thank you for all you do.

I have found an obituary for Francesca Russo in the West Virginian (Fairmont, WVa) of 11/3/1916. I thought you might like to see it. It seems she was a highly respected citizen of Fairmont, known for her charitable acts and kindness. The obituary indicates she was survived by her husband John and four school-aged children.

Just curious if you might know why there are two grave markers for William Jefferson Gainer (my wife's family), one with his wife, and one alone? I realize there is a large time gap between his death and the death of his wife, Laura Nichols. Further, she was married three additional times after the death of William Jefferson Gainer.
Further, I'd like to type Laura Nichols obit and would appreciate if you'd confirm you will transfer her obit to the her memorial when it's typed. It's a reasonably long obit.

Hi, Permedus is our great great grand father. My question is how did you get up to the cemetery behind that house.? We went to the cemetery. But could not find a way to get to it. We would like to find access and try to get to it again next year. Thanks. Mona Stone

I enjoy reading old newspapers (Library of Congress website) and trying to match the stories and articles to the memorials here on F-A-G. I have found the wedding announcement for Guy Fleming and Viola Dunn in The West Virginian (Fairmont, WV) on 10/19/1916.
It sounds like quite the affair. I thought you might like to read it.

|Dan Phelan||Charles Bradshaw photo--thank you!|
Thank you for posting the photo of the memorial marker for Charles Bradshaw. I re-did the photo request for him at Sicily-Rome in hopes of getting a photo of that marker also.
Although unorthodox, in this situation, I would typically add a memorial page for Charles in the Parsons Cemetery and add the photo of his memorial (because that's where it is), and I make a reference in his bio to his memorial page at Sicily-Rome. I would also add to his bio that this marker is a cenotaph. It is up to you. I've done this for many WWII casualties markers where there is one in his hometown, and one overseas (or elsewhere).
