I also have a view from further back to show the entire memorial. It is very tall. If you would like it, put in another picture request for either Rosina or Jane M. and I will post it to their memorial. I think I am the only person actively taking pictures in Santa Paula so I should be able to claim the picture easily. If you aren't interested, just ignore this. I will be deleting the picture from my camera in a week.

I made the requested changes to the memorials. You sent me two on Andrew Nixon. I can't change Martha Nixon Bland's memorial to include/correct her maiden name. Her memorial was created by the Upson County Archives.

|Jennifer Fisher-White||Elmore Family|
I see you have some Elmore Family sites on Findagrave. I am currently researching those. I have a dear friend who is the Great Grandson of Giles Dew Elmore and Elizabeth Elmore. This family has given me a run for my money. If there is any info you have that can help piece some things together that would be great. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org

|Baxter B. Fite III||Daniel Lochbaum, 77th Illinois|
Dear Valerie, No I am not related to Daniel Lochbaum, whose mortal remains were laid in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. Since 1985, I have been tracking down and writing about the Civil War veterans from Peoria County. I wrote a column in two local newspapers over the years and had accumulated thousands of pages of information about these thousands of veterans who came through Peoria on the way to the war. I found out about Find A Grave just over three years and almost every day I spend between one and two hours adding information about them to their Find A Grave biographies. I hope to add more yet to Daniel's site. I have added your name and contact information to his site and when I am done adding all I can, if you are interested in managing it, I would be glad to transfer it to you. In time, I think I will be able to fill in much of the missing information, however, in the mean time, I would appreciate hearing from you if you have any of this information at hand. Some people who I have come in contact with through Find A Grave feel Find A Grave is not the place for biographical material like this. I feel, especially because it's free to the public, that's it's the perfect place for all information that I can write about these veterans of the Civil War and I don't feel I can say enough about the veterans who have given so much for their country. Thanks for all you are doing to preserve the family history. Sincerely, Baxter

Dear Valerie, Thanks for the additional information that you sent me on Private Lochbaum. I have added this as well as other information. Please take a look at what I have now. I will continue to search for information about him and his family, but, if these are any missing pieces of information that you can help me with now, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Thanks for all you are doing for Find A Grave. It is and always will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Sincerely, Baxter

The picture was taken at Mt Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA (where the rest of his family is buried), but I believe he's buried in Hawaii. I just looked, and there's a duplicate record for him in O'ahu Cemetery. Unfortunately I can't read the stone much better than you would be able to because it's so worn away. If I were to guess I would say it says:
"Died Honolulu, HI
Sep. 16, 1859 Aged 27"

The changes you asked for on W B Prestridge have been made. When I linked him to his father I noticed that one of his sisters was named Lily, there is a Leila Prestridge ID #30724486 b. May 11, 1917 and d. September 28, 1957 buried in the same cemetery as William Barney Prestridge. Could this be his sister called Lilly? If so let me know and I will link her to her family as well. Thank you for the update on William Barney....

Bob and Valerie
Posted a picture of Clyde's Head Stone. Leilani and I have been listing all of the memorials and putting pictures of the headstones on each one for the Arlington (Washington State) Cemetery. The lots and sections are a little confusing. It might be easier for those that follow to list Plot as: Section K, Lot 286, Grave 4.
Thank You and I send all my Blessings!

|Virgil Reichle||Matilda Jane Brown Hill (83502692)|
Hi Bob & Valery Johnson:
Matilda was a sister of my wife's grandmother, Martha Brown(86387995) who married James Cephus Davis (86387843).
It appears you have done extensive research on Matilda and it shows. My wife passed away in September 2011 and we were dedicated also until her health declined.
It was always a mystery to us as to what happened to Warren H. Hill b. abt. 1840 and their son, Floyd H. Hill who was b. June 1882 in MO.
Also, what happened to Claude Hill's wife Jennie who was b. abt. 1894 in MO.
If you could share this information I would appreciate it.

|DesotoJoe/The Record Man||RE: Iron Mountain Cemetery - Iron Mountain, St. Francois Co., Missouri|
Actually, the Thomas stone is in a portion of a Baptist cemetery, adjacent to Iron Mountain (there are some stones, swallowed up by the woods) It was known as Iron Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery & here is a known list of those buried there
(but Thomas wasn't on the list & I found that stone there, so...) On my desktop unit, I have a file of some other headstones that are too hard to read. I'll look at them again & see what I can find.

You are very welcome. No, I'm not related, but like exploring the old history of the valley mills & company. Those photo's are currently on exhibit at the library in Valley & thought they would go nicely on the online memorials.
Your husband would also be a descendant of George & Gabriella Huguley. Gabriella's grave is in bad shape & needs dirt filled in it. Do you know any descendants locally that could fix it?

I saw the flower that you left for Allen Thompson Crowder. I was wondering if you are related and happened to have more information on his children and maybe even photos. I am related to Allen's wife Lanora whose maiden name was Lanora Harris. Any help would be appreciated.

Added stone photos of Styers children to the Flemington cery. The pic for Lizzie Styers also has a name of what I think must be her twin as the stone reads: ??t?y & Lizzie Styer, but I cannot tell what it reads - I thought it was Betsy perhaps???? Do you have any info on the children of Sarah and Phillip?
I'm on my way to the cemetery now, so I will try to examine it more closely and see if I can make it out.

I took a lot of photos of the Styer plot and will add them soon. There are many that are very hard to read, so will do my best. This cemetery was originally known as the Styer Cemetery before it became known as Flemington Cemetery. I plan on walking the entire cemetery and photographing it in entirety one day soon (as soon as the temperatures cool down a little!).

|Mignon ||RE: Mary Viola (King) Wessinger|
Valerie, Viola King Wessinger was my paternal
grandmother. I noticed that you posted information about the marriage of my great-grandparents, Ben Asa (who usually signed his name "A.B.")King and Mary Elizabeth Warren. Are you researching this family?
Also, you may have noticed that my grandfather Wessinger's middle name was Johnson. His mother's maiden name was Johnson. Her parents were Samuel H. Johnson and Lucinda Burt Johnson. They had one other child, my great-grandmother's brother, whose name was Hiram (middle initial M.)Johnson, born around 1849. I have a copy of a land deed dated 1870 which is the last documentation I have regarding him. I don't know if he died or if he moved away from Georgia, which is where all of this family were from.
You may not be doing family history research, but if you are,perhaps we could share information. In any event, thank you for the kind words and the flowers for Grandmother. Not only was she beautiful, but she possessed a beautiful spirit as well. Mignon
