RE: Mary
Thanks for the offer. I am helping a friend and I just stumbled on to this couple. I am not from this area and I really doubt that I will be finding any more memorials for you but all the best in your research and thanks for making original memorials.

RE: McAninch Memorials
Hello Nancy

Just wanted to let you know that I have not forgot about you. I went to Conejo Mountain Cemetery today, in order to see if any updates have been made to Sandra's Plaque. They have still not added the death date to her plaque. I don't know who is in charge of that, a family member, prior arrangements, the cemetery? I will keep checking once a week or so, and notify you of any changes.

Steven and Sandra McAninch
Hello Nancey

I went to Conejo Mountian Cemetery today and took some photo's of Steven and Sandra's Crypt for you. I posted them on their memorials. Please review and let me know if I can do anything else for you. You will notice that the passing date for Sandra has not as yet been added to the plaque. I can return at a later date if this is important to you.

Hello Nancy

The plaque for Fern and her husband Is a small, approx. 12" X 3", that is affixed to a large marble wall known as the Garden Mauseleum. The wall has several plaques affixed to it. Honestly I did not search for other members of the family while I was there. I have a contact at the cemetery office, who I will give the names to and see what he can find.

When requesting a memorial to be transferred you must request it through the edit button and you must proved me with your Find A Grave#. I do not go searching for info that the person could provide when requesting to have someone transferred. Thanks.

Judy Olson
Nathaniel Hamlin
Hello Nancy,

My name is Judy Olson, a member of The Audubon Co. Historical Society. A group of us have taken on the project of updating and rejuvenating the old county home museum at the Nathaniel Hamlin Park.

When the house museum began one of its rooms was dedicated to Nathaniel and Margaret Hamlin & was set up by your family as a bedroom. At that time most people just knew the history of the counties first settler but now, several generations later, people touring the house don't know about the rooms significance as the story isn't there for them to read.

We have pictures of Nate and Maggie, the rooms furnishings donated by family members,an oil painting of the original cabin, and the basic facts. But think we are lacking!!! So I am on a mission to gather every thing I can find to tell a good story. I have found written history & a few photos in the 1915 county history book but we are hoping you or others in the family will have more photos, obits, and stories that they would be willing to share with us.

You may contact me at Hope to hear from you soon. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Sincerely, Judy O

RE: Gerhart
Hi Nancy,

I'm not related in any way to John Matthew Gerhart or Maud B. Dehn. You must have seen headstone photos I took of the Dehn's from North Murray Ridge cemetery.

I did a little snooping and this is what I found from ancestry:
John M. Gerhart
Born 17 Feb 1874 in Ridgeville, OH
died 19 (20?) Jan 1962 in Lorain, OH
parents: Joseph Gerhart & Eunice Welling (see 1900 census for his family)
wife: Maud Kelly "Denn"
No online obit found for John--Maybe through Lorain Public Library

Maud Kelly
born 14 Jan 1875 Carlisle, Lorain, OH
parents: Charles Kelly & May Coon
Maud Kelly married on Nov 19, 1897 to Charles H. Denn (Nov 19, 1872-Oct 30 1899 Ridgelawn Cemetery)
"Miss" Maud Denn (could be typo) married Sept 10, 1907 to John M.Gerhart
Maud B. Gerhart died 6 Feb 1964 Lorain, OH--see Chronicle Telegram 7 Feb 1964 Pg 18--buried in Calvary Cemetery....If you can't find the obit then send me your e-mail address and I'll send it to you.

1910, 20 & 40 census have them in Lorain

Hope this helps.

I have some other pictures of the family but I can't make out the name except Zimmerman. The old section has multiple broken stones and many are hard to read. Also I didn't all the old section taken, I just ran out of time. I live 45 minutes from the cemetery so it will be a while before I get back there. I have taken most of the picture of the cemetery. Hopefully, I will get back before winter.

I've always felt that a memorial is better off in the hands of a caring relative than someone who isn't related. Glad I could do that for you. The changes are yours to make if you want something different!

RE: Faye E.
Look at Faye's memorial page and let me know what you think. If you click on the bio, it becomes larger and easier to read. But if you prefer, I can type the bio in on the other side of the page. I'm willing to do what you want, and if you would like it transferred,I will gladly do that!

Thanks for the obit. I will play with it to see if I can ad it directly and also enlarge the photo. I knew Faye, and I know Tim. Betsy is my sister, married to Doug, also relatives of yours...small world.

Transfer has been made. Are you aware of the fact that his great granddaughter Judith Ann Wilber Rowland Find A Grave # 42507008 was 1 of the 39 Heaven's Gate members that commited mass suicide in March of 1997?
