RE: Emily C. Hobbs
Barb, I made a mestake. Maude Hammons who married James Ewing Fry was the Grand Daughter of Licoln Hammons through Loma Burton Hammons died in a logging accident in 1919 and his wife Ellen Walker who was declaired insane in 1915 and died in the state mental institution in Vernon County, MO in 1942. Ellen Walker was the daughter of Malinda Fry Walker daughter of Harvey Fry. James Ewing Fry was the son of James Marion Fry who was the son of the SAME Harvey Fry so my mothers Great Grandparents and her Great Great Grandparents are the same couple! I have a picture of Loma if you would like it. wanttopreach@gmail.com

Family links
45798195- Abner Hobbs to http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Hobbs&GSfn=James&GSbyrel=in&GSdyrel=in&GSst=26&GScntry=4&GSob=n&GRid=18656135& James Hobbs as father and when you do please go to the link and put Margaret as mother.
I put Abner in this cemetery because it is real old and neglected and there are many other Hobbs there which means Abner is probably there also.

RE: Emily C. Hobbs
Please send me an email and I will give you my mothers phone number. I was born in Boise, ID in 1953 to Elener Arline Fry Maine and Harold Leroy Maine. If my memory serves me right my mother and father went to Mary LuVina funeral. My mother knew that people called Mary "Vina" and that her husband was called Link. My mother just contacted Robert Hammons who recognized her and talked to her for more than an hour. His email address is bobintracy1@yahoo.com. The fact that Link was her grandfather was told to me by her. Mom is 82 this year and is in good health for her age. If you send me your email address at wanttopreach@pastors.com I will give you her phone number and address where you may talk to her personally. Here is Grandmothers find a grave site. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=31892012 I know she is there because I was at her funeral.

Mattie F. SMITH WELLS
Dear Barbara,

Peter R. SMITH was the son of one John H. SMITH and the father of another. He had at least one daughter who did not survive infancy - Mattie F. SMITH was his only adult daughter; he had five or six adult sons. Alfred WELLS was from North Carolina and evidently not nearly connected with the local WELLS (who had come from North Carolina about a century earlier). The author of the obituary piece may have been Annie L. SMITH, wife of John Sylvester JOYNER (likely associated with Hurst Baptist Church, a nephew of Cuthbert JOYNER). There was more than one additional John H. SMITH in early 19th Century Screven County, and I do not know how yours might connect with other SMITH families there.

May God Bless You and Your Family,

Bob ><>

Medlock pictures
Hi Barbara! Nice work you've done on here! I think some of your Medlock pictures may be photocopies from the Medlock book I published in 1999. I have the original pictures of my great-grandparents, Thomas & Sintha, their son John and the girls, Nancy & Anna. I have several others of all their children. I can add some better quality pictures if you would like. Just let me know. Thanks.Marsha

Jeanne Marshall
Hello...searching for Driskell info
Hello,
I am looking for info on a John Art Driskell who married Sarah Jane Bird. I cannot find any info on either of them. John Art Driskells death certificate says parents "unknown".
March 18th we took a trip to Ozark and Douglas County for research...I have SEVERAL owen and Owens tombstone pictures. Josiah Owen and Jane Bell were my great great great grandparents. Luda Owen-Bell who married SGT James Tetrick was my Great Great grandmother and their son Harrison Tetrick was my Great Granfather. His daughter Lula Tetrick married my grandpa John Rue Lamb and my mom is their daughter. Any info would be great...anything at all! I think we might even be related distantly.

Hi Barbara,
I took a photo of a Currier family plot at Sweden Cemetery. There are three stones with no names who I believe to be Melissa, William & Willis Currier. Please contact me if you would like this photo or to discuss further.
Best to you,
Deb R.
