Thank you so much for watching over my 10th great-grandfather for me! Would you please transfer James Cole (#34205577) to my care now?

Harvey Bell
Gershom Jayne
Hello, you are welcome for the info and photos.

Did you know that this individual is the son of Jotham Jayne? Find A Grave Memorial# 19555.

I sent a request to Find A Grave to add his parents, but as he is listed among the famous, I don't know if I qualify to request any changes.

And Gershom's son, Jotham's grandson, was the personal physician of Abraham Lincoln? Find A Grave Memorial# 21269. William is also listed in Wikipedia.

Then also found this listing in the Kelloggsvile Cemetery, Sempronious, NY:

Parsell, Clarence S. 1881-1915
(handwritten: eldest son of Charles; marr. 4 Jan. 1915)
Minnie V., his wife 1888-1940
John S. "with above" 1864-1924
Myra S. 1861-1946
Willis E. 1890-1959
Amber M. 1905-1959
Willard E. 1939-1959
Anne E. 1944-1959

(Willis and Amber Jayne, parents, and Willard and Anne, were shot and killed by another son on the Jayne farm north of Kelloggsville. Note by L. Luther)

Hi Danette,

Thank you for adding the obituary. One correction is still needed, the death date you have added is for his first wife, Martha, that is buried next to him. His death date is August 24, 1912.

Kind regards,

Jayne and Cogswell Families
Hi! It is so cool to see someone who is working on the Jayne and Cogswell Families. I am having a little bit of trouble with the Jayne line. My 4th Great grandmother is Phebe Jayne who married Israel Disbrow. The details after that are pretty sketchy for me since I just have a tree sketched with names but no information. I have her parents names as Timothy Jayne and Lydia Woodruff. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My email is It is nice to meet you! :)

Thank You! I typed in the wrong #. The correct one is #45186174. :)

Rebecca Tarbox
Hi. My name is Debbi. My grandmother Ruth Baxter was a descendant of Simon Baxter, husband of Rebecca. While researching Simon ad Rebecca, I came across your Rebekah. I believe you've misspelled her name. Will you check out the memorial #45786174. Her headstone is pictured there as well as" Wife of Simon". I'd love to eventually link up all the descendants of Simon and Rebecca. I have access to a ton of their history together if you're interested.

RE: Look Lake Cem in Jackson Co MN
Not just now as I have quite a few half done cemeteries at the moment but it does sound like something I'd like to do, perhaps next winter. I'll get back to you then. Thanks for the reply.

Beautiful job on this cemetery. Did you simply work from the names engraved on the monument. Are you interested in developing the memorials further by looking up dates of birth or death or adding data from previous readings of the same cemetery?

RE: Sellers Family Titus County
I was thinking, Danette, it might be easier if you could transfer management of the Sellers memorials to me, if you don't mind. It was interesting following your Sellers/Allen/Cogswell memorial links.

I have quite a bit of information in my family tree I think I can add.

Whichever you decide to do would be fine.

my number is 46774350

Hi Danette,

I was wondering if you can link some of my Sellers family entries in Farmers Academy Cemetery and also Nevills Chapel where Clayton McDaniel and Mary are buried, to yours.

Question also about the Gladewater's around Mount Pleasant and not Gladewater, isn't it?

Uptegrafft family
Are you looking for Uptegrafft family members? If so there is a Jason J. Uptegrafft buried at Brewster, Sherman county, Kansas cemetery. I put his memorial page up today with his obituary.
It states that he and his wife Ida M. "Smith" Updegrafft ahd two daughters and a infant son die in infancy.
Jason was born in Michigan but married Ida in Minnesota. She died in 1909.
Hope we can find a connection for him.

COGSWELL, Sarah Jane
This is amazing, simply because nearly every family name in your virtual cemeteries is also in my family tree. You have a James Cole and I have a John Cole old enough to be Uncle & Nephew. Or you have a William Chamberlain and I have a Thomas Chamberlain. You have several Gibbs in one county and I have several Gibbs in the next county.
Sarah Jane is my 4th Great GrandMother and I cannot find any parents or other family connections. I do have other Cogswell ancestors who married into the Webster, Dibble and White families.

RE: Many Thanks
You are very welcome. I really enjoyed my visit to the Fairview Cemetery. I made a trip to Cloud County to photograph my Fudge families and decided to go ahead and photograph all of Fairview cemetery since it was a small one.

Lester, Mary Ann and John do have stones but my photo's were of very poor quality. The inscriptions are very hard to read. Would you like for me to post them anway? I'd be happy to.

Take care

Philip Jacob Schellhammer
Writing because you're related as well. I managed to get to the cemetery and there was the gravestone for Philip Jacob Schellhammer. I wasn't sure there would be one, and I could not find Mary ... on the other hand, I ran out of time. I have other Schellhammer photos that I'll research and add if I can figure them out.

RE: Philip Schellhammer

I haven't often used those fields when creating memorials because of just these problems!

I would say eliminate place of birth fields and enter as biographical information that he was born in Heidelberg Township, Northampton County (now Lehigh), Pennsylvania. You could fudge place of birth using a closeby current township, but I can't see what purpose it would serve, and Allegheny County is way in the wild, wild west of Pennsylvania where hardly anyone was living at this point. That would REALLY confuse people, LOL.

Thanks! and thanks for making the spousal link; hopefully we'll get a quick response and son Abraham will be linked in as well.
