RE: Hannah Murphy
Charles Yewl Porter was her older brother.
I don't see a photo but you have been quite a bit of help already. My new job since my grandma died is to decorate family graves during Memorial Day weekend. I was in Ray County in May. I went by Riffe to check out Hannah's mom's (Martha O'Dell Porter)grave. Now I can decorate Hannah's grave at South Point!

RE: Hannah C. Murphy is my g-g-grandmother
That would be great. All I see is section 4. Have not visited her grave yet since I am in St. Louis. Her husband John Spencer Murphy (who outlived her 30 years) and my great grandparents are buried at Cravens in Camden. Thank you!

Hannah C. Murphy is my g-g-grandmother

I have been looking for her for over a year. I had her death date incorrect. I have all her children's names, her husband's name, siblings names.

Thank you,

Stephanie Perry

Jacob L Coulson #17627982
Thank you, Kristy, for uploading the gravestone photo for Jacob and his wife, Helen.

I would like to ask for your permission to use that photo (and any others you have taken of my ancestors) in my family tree on ancestry. Because the photographer hold a copyright for each photo, I always ask before using a photo on another web site. I will give your name as photographer and the web site as the source.

Many thanks for considering my request,
Jacki in Pittsburgh

Marilyn Kenyon, Psy.D.
Kenyons from Isle of Man
I first noticed these Kenyons, while I was researching my own family.

I spotted a group of them, on census records, from the Isle of Man. More recently, I've tried to trace the family to see if there are any living males descendants, who could be tested for his DNA.

Thurlow Kenyon was born in Chicago. His father was William Crellin Kenyon, born 1850. His grandfather, Edward Kenyon, born 1813, Isle of Man, was one of those I spotted on an 1860 census record, living with his brother John Kenyon. Both indicate they were born on the Isle of Man.

Thurlow's great grandfather, William Henry Kenyon, was born 1782, Isle of Man. He arrived in American in 1821. He was a clothier by trade.

So far, I've been unsuccessful in tracking down a living male descendant from this lineage here in the United States. The line seems to have died out, at least the Kenyon male descendants seemed to have died out.

Thurlow Kenyon

I know a little about Thurlow Kenyon, only because I have tracked him from a line of Kenyons that came from the Isle of Man. I've been trying to locate a living male descendant from this line for sometime.

Melody OC
RE: Anna Bromell?
It looks like I created a "new" memorial because her headstone reads "ANNA" ... and, when I searched the Find A Grave app while at the cemetery, "ANNA" did not appear to have a memorial. I see now that her memorial is under "Elizabeth Rose "Anna" Gulick Bromell". So sorry for creating a duplicate.

I will add my photos to your memorial and delete the duplicate.

I think your reasoning makes sense. Thank you for putting so much effort into this. I am very distantly related to his wife.

Paul Arnold
Thank you for the picture and in looking at your name I realize that you and I might be related in two ways. I know one of the Arnold's married a Rice family member, however a Gryder also married a Rice family member. Food for thought as well as a thoughtful thank you.

I have transferred Bethany Rogers to you. She was your friend and you should manage her memorial.

RE: Wayne Slocum
I am not related. No need to transfer. I came across Wayne's father's obit in a huge stack I have and so I made the links. The fathers obit was sent to the contributor of that memorial.

Thank you so much for the information I will add it as soon as I get a chance. I had seen on the pension form that it looked like his middle name was Mitchell but did not want to add it until I was sure. How amazing and sad to know who 'owned' him prior to the war. And thank you for the offer in the MO counties. After I saw your post on FB I intended to send a friend request and offer the same. I live in Olathe now but lived in Kansas City North/Kansas City MO for years. I found 'Find A Grave' several years ago working on my family genealogy and although I do not get a lot of time to work on memorials I do what I can when I get the chance. It is always fun finding others who are interested in this as well. And it is awesome to help other families find their history. I added you to my friends list here as well. So glad to make your acquaintance.

RE: Tavia Tomlinson McAdams
Good morning! Tavia is Octavia May "Tavia" Tomlinson, daughter of William Ambrose and Jennie (Houchin) Tomlinson. I'm descended from a different branch of Tomlinson's, which is where I've been concentrating my research lately, but the ones in Crowley are related through marriage (and I feel sure, through blood, once I can ever make the connection).

Thanks for contacting me - your interest has ME interested in updating this branch further, so I'll be adding more information as I get it!!

May I have your permission to download the photos of the gravestone of Minnie Mae (Longstreth) Peters (Memorial# 18218414)?
I would like to upload them into my Ancestry family tree.
Thank you for your consideration.

Thank You,
