RE: Joseph Hall and wife Clydia
Thank-you for the reply and correction on the spelling of her middle. I found it misspelled as Lea in two different places. It's no trouble really. My husband and I are happy to work on these little puzzles. Of course, we have to fit it into the work schedules.
Best Regards,

You are welcome. They are located on the first road to the right about halfway up the hill and on the left. That is from the entry of the cemetery.

It was my pleasure.

RE: Jessie Hall - Lincoln Memorial Park, Portland
Janet, I'm happy to transfer Jessie Hill's memorial to you. Sorry for the confusion regarding her last name. I set up the memorial from the obituary and accidentally switched the name Hill for Hall. Glad that her memorial is now in your care. Best wishes, Juelette

You are very welcome.
I can give you the funeral notice except for one thing. I have no idea what your email address is. Can't do it without that.
Mine is

RE: Jessie Dean Hall
That is ok. I discovered quite a long time ago that we don't live in a purect whorld, rite? :-]
I found a funeral notice for Jessie. It says that she was married to that Noah Hill and that she was survived by a son with the last name of Hall. I am supposing from that, that she was previously married to a Hall before she married a Hill, do you think?
I could email you the funeral notice if you are interested. It is in pdf format and is a full page of the paper version.
I think the correct location for Jessie is being looked for.

Jessie Dean Hall
You put in a request for pics for this Jessie Dean Hall. I am helping with this and was having trouble with it. I finally found out that she is listed in the Oregon death index and her funeral notice in the newspaper as Jessie Hill, not Hall.
Did you know her name was not Hall? Her funeral notice says her husband was Noah H. Hill

Mary Ann Alice Wyatt Temple
Hi Janet -

Hope the following is of some help.

Testimony of May Ann Alice Wyatt Temple, transcribed verbatim from notes recorded by her son, Charles Henry Temple, about 1930. Original handwritten notes now in the possession of Charles A. Temple Jr.

Doc. #1: (not dated)

“Mary A. Temple age 62.
Borned Jan. 9, 1868.
Hight 5-3. Weight. 130
Mother Dead. 50. Heart Trouble.
Father Dead. 45. Malaria
Brothers. Dead. (2) 17 Overheat and 54 Pneumonia.
Sisters. Dead. (1) 84. Fell broke hip.”

Doc. #2: (not dated)
“Mary Ann Alice Wyatt now Mrs. Alice Temple was borned Jan. 9, 1868. Near Newton Station Miss. Her father died before she was borned, and her mother died when she was 7 years old., leaving her to live with her Grandfather Henry Wyatt and Step grandmother, until he died about one year later. Then Uncle Riley Wyatt who lived in Edom Texas came to Miss. and moved them to Texas at the age of 8. And I lived with him for a few months, then was moved to my brothers Grandberry Wyatt and resided there until I was 16 years old. I then married James Henry Temple better known as “Buddy”. There was 9 children borned to us, 4 boys and 5 girls. My husband died Sept. 2, 1907 leaving me with 5 children oldest 17 and youngest 1 year and 8 mo. old to raise and care for. Me being now 40 years and having been left only a small farm and house and it only one half paid for.”

Additional notes based on research by Charley Temple:

Mary Ann Alice may have been born earlier than 1868. The 1870 Census for Newton County, MS gives her age as 4.

Mary Ann Alice Wyatt Temple was my great- grandmother. She died when I was five years old. At the time of her death she had been living for several years with her two sons, William Burrell and Charles Henry (my grandfather), alternating between their households (she also owned a small house in Brownsboro). I do remember seeing her at Grandpa Temple’s house on several occasions.

She is buried at Rock Hill Church Cemetery, Henderson County, Texas, about five miles east of Brownsboro.

Could not locate her in 1880 or 1920 Censuses. 1870 census lists her as 4 years old, which means she was born in 1866 rather than 1868, as she claimed. She also stated she was married at age 16; the original Henderson County Marriage Book in the courthouse at Athens shows a marriage license issued to J. H. Temple and Mary Ann Wyatt on February 25, 1881. (The entry was faded and hard to read, but corresponded with other dates on the same page).

I also believe she may have misstated her parents ages at the time of their deaths by about 10 years in each case.

In my initial message to you, I stated Mary Alice only had two brothers, Grandberry and Robert. She also had a sister I forgot about, but I don't know her name.

Hi Janet - I appreciate your posting of the memorial for Mary Ann Alice Wyatt Temple, Rock
Hill Cemetery, Henderson County, TX. She was my great-grandmother through her son, Charles Henry Temple. Some corrections:
1)She was born in 1866.
2)Henry Wyatt was her grandfather who raised her after her father's death. Her father's name is unknown.
3)Mother's name Malinda, nicknamed Linnie.
4)She only had two brothers, Granberry and Robert, both buried at Edom Cemetery.

Are you related? I have a lot of history on the family. Best wishes, Charley Temple

Hi Janet, thanks for the death year for Lucy. I've updated the memorial, but since the stone can't be read do you have a source for this information? I realize that I didn't list my source for the other date information either. Thanks ASB

You added a page for Christian Andre (ref #88283768) and his wife. His parents were Johann Adam Andre (90380488) and Maria Philipine Weiss Andre (90380847). Could you please link them? Since you created the page, I cannot do so. Christian was my husband's great, great grandfather. His son P. Henry Andre was my husband's great grandfather. Thank you.
