Yes that was exactly it. I was going off all the records including death, census and marriage records. I'll change the memorial to match the stone.

When I am looking for cemetery records I go to the county where the cemetery is and look for county clerk and they usually know who has the records or I will look for a funeral home in that area that ususally knows
Hope this helps Janet

Hi Linda,

Chris Mills already created the memorial and linked it to Dorcas Susannah. We can transfer it to you if you want.

Hi Linda,

Thanks for the edits on the Graves family. I believe we have located the father, he is buried next to Dorcas Susannah Beesley Graves. Do you know if he died on 7 May 1930 in Los Angeles?

I sent you a message on the Wabash Valley Genealogy Society committee. If you know the answer about the child, contact me as my link.

August Austermiller
Hello Linda,
I'm working on the OLD CEM Database for Woodlawn and Highland Lawn Cemetery. It shows a Child of August Austermiller who is interred 15 Oct 1881.
This child is buried in Div 35, Lot 27, Blk 6, Grave 8.

Unfortunately I can't find any other records to confirm this information. Do you know if August had a child who was buried in Woodlawn? I can add the child to Woodlawn Cemetery if you want. The database has many mistakes, and I am adding anyone who has been missed to Find A Grave for WVGS.

Rev David Elkins
Greetings! I'm contacting you as you are maintaining the entry for Rev. David Elkins (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSvcid=553972&GRid=30203297&). This is the first mention I've ever seen of David's wife as Elisabeth Estep. Do you remember where the original information may be found that is cited in the memorial? I'd like to find the source so that I might use it as well. Rev. Elkin is my g-g-g grandfather. Thank you so much!

RE: Re: Sophia Alexander
This is a very large section with several thousand burials in it, but with only a smattering of gravestones visible. IF one was hoping to find the exact location of the grave within the section you would have to have the Elmwood Superintendent go out and figure that one out. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.

Sophia "May" Alexander
Sorry, but Mrs. Alexander's grave has no visible marker. Actually, she is buried in Chapel Hill Single #2, Sp. 2222. The few stones in this section have all been photographed and placed on Find A Grave.

RE: Re: Sanford Rice
Hi Linda, I have not looked into Sanford's family line, since I'm related through Francis Rice's second wife, Mary. If I come across anything, however, I will let you know. Happy hunting!

Hi Linda,

I do not know who is in charge of the cemetery. I would check with the Colfax or Thorntown Libraries to see if they may know.

Thanks

RE: Re: Wm. Staton
It's been a few years since I made the copy, but from what I remember, there was a three ring binder where someone had cut and pasted the obits. Similar to what the Thorntown Library has done, but this was done by the Lebanon Public Library.

RE: Re: Wm. Staton
In my Boone Co. folder I have an old photocopy of a page of obits - no citation. At the top of the page it reads: February 1905. At the bottom: Page 11. It was with other copies of Argus obits that were made from microfilm. After digging around I figured out that the newspaper really is the Lebanon Reporter. Sorry for the mistake.

Hi Linda,

Thank for the info on Barney Sparks. Would you mind sending me the obits that you say you have for Thomas Bradley Sparks. I am a Loveless descendant and have been working on this family and do not have his obit.

Thank you again
