I'm not sure how this works as today is my first day in looking at info here, but I noticed it said you put info up for my father, Donald S. Rozelle. There are errors in the information that is up for his obituary. I'm wondering if there is a way to correct it?

Thank you so much for the additional info, I totally agree, it's very sad when there is no marker for a loved one.
I would be willing to provide you an area photo, indicating where he is located? Next time out, I'll take the photo and add it, we can keep it or not, kind of nice to have that as well.
Have a great day!

I was in the cemetery today and looked for walter's stone/marker. I used the info you provided for the plot location, but could not locte a stone for Walter.
Would you mind contacting the cemetery office to verify if there is inded a stone? And maybe ask what the family names are on either side of his plot?
If he does not have a stone, I would be more than happy to provide you with an area photo as well. If he does, I'll go back out to search again.

Thanks you so much for providing the plot locations, it makes it so much easier for us to make the locate and obtain the photos for you!
I will try to obtain the photo for Walter tomorrow, we have some snow on the ground here in Denver, sort of hinders our progress. :)
Happy New Year!

Hi, Twila. I'm glad you were also able to find out info about your ancestors. You're so welcome for the Carr photos. I have met some of the most wonderful people through this site. One man goes to a University in New Jersey and types the names from the Cemetery archives into this database. Otherwise, no one would have access to them. Amazing!
Thanks for everything you do too.

Ha! You're not a pest. Links are a piece of cake, so link between father and son made. Nice to hear that it's all coming together, thanks for letting me know!
I'm supposed to meet another contributor for a project at Fairmount, so I'll look for the grave markers for Walter Sr. and Janie Murie while I'm there. Thanks for tracking down the grave location, that will make them easier to find. Will let you know when I've got them.

|paths2present||Janie Carr Murie|
Thanks for your note, I linked the memorial page for Walter Warren Murie to her's. I also looked around a bit to see if I could add anything else to his memorial.
I think Janie's first husband, James Hicks, her parents James and Annie Carr, her brother Joseph Carr, and her maternal grandfather (Annie's dad) Joseph Souter, are all buried in Lafayette Cemetery (Lafayette is just a bit northwest of Denver)
father James Carr #66268805
mother Annie Carr #66268780
brother Joseph Carr #66268842
maternal grandfather Joseph Souter #88883959
Janie and her first husband James Hicks had a son, also named James Hicks, who is identified in the 1910 Census as a stepson to Janie's second husband Walter Murie. There is a memorial for him too!
James Hicks # 51939527
When you get a chance, take a look, and if it seems correct, maybe you can get them linked up by all the nice people who created their memorials!
Hope this helps, good luck with your research!
