His mother, Lucy Cone, is part of my grandmother so I don't want to split the family.

Hello Truman, we had corresponded in 2012 regarding my great grandfather. Do you have any info on his siblings? Are his parent Nehemiah & Cina? Anything on Nehemiah's family? Thank you for any assistance. Kari Larghe Eide

RE: Linking Andrick family
Hi Truman, I have seen the great work you are doing on Kansas genealogy. I have learned a lot from some of your info. Anna Andrick Segrist was my great-grandfather's sister. I have researched her and her husband since 1983.

Sadly, I cannot tell you where Anna was buried except in Louisiana. She lived with Anna and Samuel Segrist, and they had either moved or were visiting Lake Arthur, Louisiana. She died there in 1890. I have a typewritten obit for her and recently was given a copy of a letter a man wrote to his family saying that Anna had died.

There was a cemetery in Lake Arthur that was on the river. Due to continual flooding, all graves disappeared. Lake Arthur was only a year or so old, so the present cemetery had not been started. I am surmising that Anna was buried in the cemetery that washed away, but I have absolutely no proof. I searched other cemeteries in neighboring parishes, as have countless other Andrick descendants, but no avail.

Samuel and Anna decided not to stay in Lake Arthur even though they had built a home and had bought probably 10 parcels of land. They did go back and visit their family there (her sister and family and one of their sons)and always stayed in their home. The home still stands and is known as the Fitzgerald Home.

Thanks for writing, it was great to hear from you.

Carolyn

Anna Jane Marts
Hi Truman

I thank you for all the work you do on Find A Grave.
And I think you are right about the inscription on Anna Jane Marts' gravestone, Daughter of W A & M A Marts.
I believe she is the daughter of William and his first wife Mary Ann Law. Mary Ann Died April 5, 1881, Willam married Cloa in 1882.

Thanks again for all the info

He is probably some relation. I have a cousin, not sure if 1st & removed, or 2nd, who lives in the KC area. Please let me know your friend's ancestors names & we can see if we are related. Thanks.

RE: Samuel Myers
Hello,
I corrected the state, MO, to KS. A few minutes ago I added his obituary to his memorial, which indicates that he was buried beside his wife.

Perhaps no one bothered to add his death to the cemetery records.

Virginia

Samuel Myers
Bucks Grove Church cemetery, F.A.G. #52174337. The death place in bio suggests Soldier, Jackson Co., MO. That varies with same city & county but should it be Kansas?
Do you have an obituary that says he was buried with his wife in Bucks Grove? I checked the Soldier Cemetery and he isn't listed there.

Yes, one hits alot of things, I was given info by the Geneology Society that proved to be wrong--I changed it from looking at another who supposed to be updated--not right? I will delete it--sometimes I wonder if this job is worth it,one of my bad days. You have a good day Marie

Yes I got the other ones just fine but haven't received the other one. I will try to get it and then we will go from there if I don't get a response.

Thanks for checking.

David Rood
RE: David Rood
Hello Truman. Yes, the wife of the David Rood was Alzina Pixley. She died about 3 years after him in New Jersey (living with their daughter) but both are buried in Covert. I am currently writing David's life story- he is my namesake. When I am done sometime in 2012, I will try to post some pictures of the Covert graves, which I have already taken. Most of my direct ancestors are buried there. My dad's cousin, Paul Joseph Rood, Jr., is about 84 years old and still operates the Rood family farm (mostly pears) just outside Covert. Might I ask what your interest is? I only ask in case you might possibly have some information I haven't stumbled on for the life story. Thanks for your interest. David Rood

RE: Ard/Fryburger Link
I am looking for Fryberger's. Maggie Fryberger's (32245911) parents John B and Laura A. was living with Charles and Maggie Hallock in Emporia, Lyon, Kansas. John B Fryberger was 80 yrs old. Any idea where they would be buried? I found the marriage license on familysearch for Ard/Fryberger. Thanks for all your research you have done for findagrave, Jen

Hello- perhaps you remember me from ancestry/rootsweb, this is my great grandfather. I have hit a brick wall finding any additional information on him. Do you have names of his children? I know of the boys, the obit says he had 4 girls. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

FYI - I found Mary Rhodes (Bottom) Channel at America City. Her parents, William & Rowena Margaret (Stewart-Cochran) Bottom are at Bucks Grove. Do you have anything to add to her memorial?

Happy Holidays!

What a good photograph! Amazingly clear for the time. This must be in the Kroth genealogy. I need to look back through my little books now that I have something to attach information to.

Thank you for sharing the picture. Tricia
