Ruby Hoggatt Pino - Memorial# 24509491 - Hi, many thanks for creating this Memorial, was pleased to find it. I sent you a couple of emails back in July, but not heard back. One was to ask for a link to her husband & the 2nd was an obituary I had come across for her. Ruby was my dad's cousin, someone I knew. Will you Transfer management of her Memorial to me?

This person does not have a grave marker. You can use St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Burials, Book 1, Page 21 for your death source. His burial entry is spelt Alexander.

As you can guess, I am the Caretaker of these and some other memorials of Joel Manuels. Joel has returned and I have offered to transfer back any of his memorials. But I do transfer over memorials to those who might have more information. Hope you have a Happy New Year

|Cory||RE: Mattie's Maiden Name Added|
I have heard that the Quins of Quin Drive are related to the Quines buried at Oak Lodge/Harelson Cemetery but am not sure of it?
I did not know of a Hindu Temple on Quin drive but remember a skating rink at the end of the drive.
My grandfather, who is a grandson of William Elliott, buried @ Harelson Cemetery, told me that he was born in a house where Airline Hwy. overpasses Jefferson Hwy. He and his two brothers inherited much of the land which is now on Elliott Road. One of these days I am going to call the DOTD and tell them that for years they have been misspelling Elliott road as Elliot road.
That is so kind of you to offer a transfer but none are necessary. I am just thrilled to see Mattie's maiden name added along with the links to her parents! I must tell you that several months ago on a beautiful day I took my aunt to Harelson Cemetery and showed her the graves of her great and great great grandparents and she was overwhelmed and cried. She thought the cemetery was so beautiful & peaceful. It made her day! No one in our family knew exactly where they were buried until I came across Find-A-Grave and the information you recorded. Thank you again for all that you have done through Find-A-Grave! God bless you!

Thank you so much! And thanks for recording all the Quine's in Harelson Cemetery. It's been so nice to get some of my family members linked together with help from people like you!
I have removed most of the brush, etc. in the Quine/Elliott Family plot area and plan to get back soon to work in other areas in that cemetery. I know for certain there are at least several more graves that have not been accounted for.
Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!

I've been there recently, and all of those graves in that area are listed under Harelson Cemetery. But... it appears that there is more than one cemetery in that location, or there are about 5/6 "family" plots inside the Harelson cemetery.

|Jay Stone||looking for family links...|
I am researching the linages and ancestrial links from the marriage of William Jefferson Frederick (1860/62-1945) and Paulina Marie Lacombe.
If you or anyone taking pictures in Mater Dolorosa Catholic Cemetery would, I am looking for gravestone picture for any of the following surnames:
I would truly appreciate any information that would help me link and tie family members together.

Hi Louisiana. We lived in Baton Rouge for over 35 years. When newly married, in the early 60's, we drove up to Natchez. Somewhere between Baton Rouge and Natchez my husband stopped at a cemetery. I saw a tombstone there that said Claiborne Anderson Barnwell. I thought it was such a neat name. Many, many years later I found a great or great great grandmother had a brother by that name who died in that area while serving in the Union Army. If you come across that name while cemetery hunting would you let me know. Thanks and have a great Thanksgiving.

Thank you for both the sponsorship and the transfer. His brother was also a Marine, and all three of us wore the same Dress Blues as they were passed down.
I hope that at least one of my emails got through with information that I found about your family.

The locals who lived in Tunica, LA, including my parents, called this cemetery "Comely Cemetery." Please add this name to your list. Thank you.

I was wondering if you would mind transferring the memorial of John Ronald Francois #19360384 to me. Ronald is my mother-in-law's brother. He was in a motorcycle accident and later died from his injuries.
