Alwina Grasse
Hi Pat,

I have removed the duplicate memorials for Alwina & Louis Grasse. However I am not certain if the older memorial is correct to list them in Lutheran Cemetery. I was given the plot location from the office at Wildwood Cemetery, which is where I located them. I am not related to the Grasses' and it was just a request I fulfilled for another researcher. I will let others with more knowledge of the area sort out the details.

Was she the wife of Johann T. Schallock?

Thank you as well. :) I'm researching John and Peter Euhardy as their connections to the Gretzingers, so I came across the info :)

Thanks for the accurate Section for him. It was fun looking the whole Section 1 for him and my next claim was for his wife Mildred and there he was.

Who was Avis married to? That will help us find the marker.

I sent a email to Mt Olivet to see if they are buried there. As soon as I hear I'll let you know.

Lawrence and Rose Griffin
There was a request to get a photo of their headstones.

They weren't in the cemetery books at the library so I called the cemetery and they are not buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Verlin Zierler
Hi Pat,
I noticed that the spelling on the first name is different from your memorial. I thought you might want to investigate which one is correct. (It wouldn't be the first time a stone engraver got the spelling wrong and it never got changed!)

RE: Zierler
Pat, could you please re-request photos for both Verlon Zierler and Geraldine Zierler? There are no longer any photo requests up on the request list for St. John Cemetery/Little Chute. I do have the photos but would appreciate getting the credit for hunting them down. Thanks! (I will check back for them tomorrow).

VIERLER? Photo Request
Hi Pat,

The monument says ZIERLER but the request says VIERLER. Can you confirm the correct spelling, please? Thanks!

Hi Pat, you are very welcome... also a note that they are listed in the burial register as 'Tollefsen' but the marker is spelled 'Tollefson' so I think there are duplicate records on them.

RE: Dornstreich
Hi, I was just wondering about Katherine so I went on ancestry and she was Arthur's 1st wife. They lived at 715 Humboldt Ave, Wausau, WI on the 1940 census. But later Arthur was married to Eleanor. So when he passed away Eleanor was his wife at that time. I figure that Katherine and Arthur must have gotten a divorce. Also Ewald and Helen Dornstreich are Arthur's parents. His mother Helen lived with him and Katherine on the 1940 census at 715 Humboldt. Couldn't find any divorce records for Katherine. She was 22 on the 1940 census. I just wanted to find out. Love all this stuff. Have a great day.

RE: Dornstreich
You're welcome. I might ask the cemetery office if there are other Mertes in the area where Katherine is supposed to be. So will still try to find her. Have a great day.

Hi, I still haven't found Katherine Dornstreich's (Find A Grave# 41463464) grave yet, even though I have the area where she is located. Restlawn Cemetery is sooo hard to find people even when you know exactly where they are supposed to be. I did find an Ewald P Dornstreich (3/4/1892-12/30/1964 but cremated on 1/4/1965) and a Helen Dornstreich (4/18/1894-1/4/1978). I took photos of their graves. They were in the area where Katherine was supposed to be. Do you think that Katherine could be their daughter? And that maybe Katherine was Arthur's sister and not his wife? That they're also Arthur's parents too? I don't know. I had sent you the earlier message about Arthur and wife Eleanor on Aug 3rd I think. You can look at that to see what I said back then. Anyway, have a great day.

Pat, I located Albert's marker, it is in Union Cemetery in Milwaukee. Since the marker is facing east, I will go get the picture on Saturday morning when the sun is facing the marker. I will also look for the markers for Bertha and the children.

Arthur Dornstreich
Hi, I fulfilled your photo request for Arthur. I also took a photo of Eleanore E Dornstreich (24 July 1916-9 May 1996) which was right next to him. It said on the stone - Beloved wife and mother. Now the office told me that Katherine Dornstreich is in a different section than Arthur. Could both of these women have been his 1st and 2nd wife? Let me know what you want me to do with the photo of Eleanore and also I will try to find Katherine soon. Also I put up a couple of photos on Arthurs memorial. One of the Veteran's Garden and then of the Navy emblem. I thought it would be nice, but if you don't want them on there you can delete them.
