RE: Annie Pearce O'Banion
Joe, I do hope the manager agrees to delete hers. Yours was so well done that I really didn't want to point out that it was a duplicate.

No problem... glad that she is with family. I do some other than family as I like to think of it as helping family find family!

Deleted. There was not one at the time I did mine up. I had gotten what information that I had from an obituary. I didn't have access to the links/photographs that you have. Cecile

RE: Weathers, Lena Bell Harvey
Hello Joe,

Thanks very much for drawing this to my attention. Lena Bell is a relative of mine, so I have a vested interest in doing this correctly. This was a simple mistake that I will correct in due course. Once again, I appreciate any help and I am sorry for this mistake. I have been doing my family history for over 43 yrs, am new to this site and am sure I will make a mistake, from time to time.

Thanks,

Richard Harvey

You're welcome Joe. I have been working with some other volunteers to get pictures for most of the headstones at Roselawn. Glad I can add a picture to a memorial that is already created. Thanks for all you do!

I really like the additional information you added and would enjoy reading about other FBI agents. Do you have them posted in a virtual cemetery or some other place where they can be accessed?

RE: Turner Cemetery
Thanks for writing back Joe. I have added photos of several tombstone markers and tried sending edits to her where she could just use the edit tab on her profile page. A friend has also sent edits since we are working on the cemetery at this time.

Janice (Williams) Bates
Hi Joe,
I am working on Turner Cemetery in Wood County, Texas and see that you transferred a lot of memorials in the cemetery to Janice (Williams) Bates (#47462152)
We have been trying to contact her using all the findagrave options and all efforts fail. Do you know if she is still active?

RE: GPS Device
I'm on my 3rd GPS, all of which have been Garmin brand. The newest is model Oregon 450T. Prior to that is GPSMAP 60C. My first one I gave to one of my children.

Both are equal in accuracy, plus or minus 4 meters. The Oregon was, in my opinion, an early attempt by Garmin to use touch-screen technology. I've had a hard time making my big fingers be very accurate. I've learned to use a stylus and it works much better.

Neither of these GPS's are for use while driving. They don't give turn-by-turn directions and they don't show a moving map.

I have a GPS app on my iPhone. It gives turn-by-turn directions and shows a moving map. I use it frequently. However, it is much less accurate than the Garmins. Its good for finding buildings but not for finding small things like headstones and geocaches.

Hope this helps!

Patsy Watson
Colvin family
Daer JOe,

I need to tell you, Lavina Moore was not the mother of Elijah T. Colvin, and his siblings, Jacob Feaster (My great great grandfather), Mary Ann Colvin Medlin, William. W., Martha Jane Colvin Fuller & Thomas Alexander, their mother was Mary Coleman. A daughter of Mary (Beam) and John Roe Coleman. Their mother, Mary, died about 1839, after Thomas Alexander's birth, at Greene Co, AL. John Charner, Sr. was married to Levina Moore Rasberry, 07 mar 1841 by John Hall, J.P., at Greene Co., AL.
As to records you can't find for Elijah's brothers, William W. and Thomas Alexander, both died in the Civil War. Wm. W. (d) 13 Mar 1862 at Camp Nelson, have not checked to see where that was located. Thomas Alexander died 12 Jul 1862. I I don't know for a fact, can't find records as of now, but feel Jacob Feaster died as a result of the Civil War, I do have war papers. I became angry at my mother, when she told me after Grandma Laura Belle (Barton) Rather died, there was a dirty old uniform under a bed and it was thrown away. Grandpa Samuel Colvin Rather was a grandson of Jacob Feaster. The uniform probably belonged to Jacob F. or Laura Belle's grandfather, Wm Green Barton. Check Ancestry.com and fold3 for war records. If you need to contact me, my e-mail is pjmw39@juno.com. Patsy Jean Malone Watson.

I see that the Grant duplicate (104056551) was deleted. Did Mr Lee finally relent and delete his duplicate or did you have to ask the administrators for help?

I also have duplicate memorial problems with Mr Lee - no response.
