RE: Dick Burnett
I was told you were an agent, by Joe Fields, a friend of mine, and retired PD Sgt., when we were talking about Dick's entry here. Dick was one of my favorite people, he and my father, who died in 1999, would talk about WWII when they ran into each other. My Dad flew B25's in the CBI during the war. Joel was also a great guy, knew him when he took over the San Angelo office and of course when he was the University's Chief. Joel loved to drink coffee at Luby's Cafeteria in our mall, each time I was in there I'd see Joel. Of course I worked with Joel's son-in-law, Mitch, for several years until he moved on to bigger things. I'm a late-comer compared you you, I went to work for the PD here in 1974, retired in 2004, went back to work as a part-time Officer in 2009 and am still there working about 80 hours a month. Great visiting with you and thanks again for Dick entry on this site. Stay in touch...

RE: Dick Burnett
My pleasure. I took that photo of him at one of our local retired law enforcement meetings a while back. Have many photos of him, will look to see if I have a better one to add. I understand you are FBI, is that correct? Thank you for entering Dick in Find-A-Grave.

Bob Bain
RE: Bain memorials
The Curtis cemetery as it is now called was partially on the old Bain family farm (sold in the 60's by my Grandmother). From what I know (from my Dad) we had a conjoining family cemetery with the Curtis family.

Correction Requested
In your memorial #76771325 for Louisa Olly Churchwell Oldham, you estimated her death to be 1860 (with no documentation). However, she appears not only in the 1860 census as Louisa, wife to William Oldham, but also in 1870. In the 1880 census she appears as Olly Oldham instead of Louisa. She is listed as widow, 57 years old, living with her son William P and his young family. William P is also consistently listed in all 3 census indicating it is continually the same family. Please verify this info and correct her death date.

Joe:

I can't find anything beyond the marriage record. He married Aunt Emma one day and Gula was born the next day. I told Gula's daughter about thia. She always suspected something about it. He apparent took off pretty early in the marriage I think he may have worked for the railroad.

Sherlocks Cousin
RE: Richard Hyde
This is the bio for Mary: Children of Richard and Mary:
Richard HYDE, born 1717 at Southwark Parish, Surry Co, VA; married Mildred HARTWELL.
David HYDE born about 1713 in Surry Co, VA; died 1785 Northampton Co, NC;
Benjamin HYDE

So you said they were kids of Richard born in 1683....then I think the info has to go away from Mary's memorial. Am I right or am I having a senior moment?

Hi Joe,

Do you happen to know where Mary Duke Ross and Abraham Lincoln Ross were married? I am working with a gentleman, Bill Tribbey and this is part of his line.

Thanks,

Hi Joe!! Thank you so much for creating the memorial for Randall Lee Talley! You put so much effort into and I am so grateful! He is my paternal grandfather :) I was wondering if you wouldn't mind transferring him over to me? Thank you again!

RE: Frances Pearce
Well comparing your information, it is quite possible that they just listed all the children including step on Jean's headstone. However it says on Ivan's memorial that they were married in 1940, but on Jean's it says 1946. I am not familiar with this family, so I was just trying to make sure the correct children were with their parents. Thanks for responding. :)

I have never handled a Find A Grave page. Only just made an account to send you a message in hopes for info. But I am game. Did you get the info from the Nolan County book? I got my grandma's when she passed.

I see you have Tigner as Samuel's middle name. I have never seen this. His son, my gr grandfather was William Tigner, but I have not seen Samuel as Tigner. Can you tell me how you found that?
Thanks, Cyndye Scott Batchelor

James Marion Armstrong
RE: Zebulon Pearce
Joe,

No, I'm afraid I don't know where he is buried. However, per the information on Find A Grave, he became a Mormon and left his family for Utah. Therefore, my guess would be that he is buried somewhere in Utah. The Mormon church records may have more information or clues as to where he ended up. Good luck!

I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) does not like to provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thanks.
