|Tom Humphrey||Julia Angeline Tanner Humphrey|
Angeline was my great great grandmother. I have been told by her grandchildren that she never remarried after James Humphrey died in 1836. One of my dad's cousins had a picture of her, but I didn't get a copy before the cousin died.
Angeline was visiting grandchildren in Colorado when she took sick (probably flu or pneumonia) and died before she could return home to Kentucky.
Any documentation about a marriage to David Humphrey would be appreciated.
Thanks, Tom Humphrey

It was J Duggan, http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=64873170 who visted Harry in Colo, NOT ME.

|Steve Cain||RE: Griggers stone|
I'm happy to find some way to honor Bob and Polly's memory. However, I didn't add the picture of the stone; all I did was sponsor their memorials on FindAGrave.com. That is, I paid a small fee to permanently remove advertisements from their memorial pages.
Bob and Polly were good friends of my maternal grandparents, Vernon and Nettie Glover. As a youngster, I went with them up to Ouray, CO to visit the Griggers a couple of times -- the first times I ever went to Colorado, in fact. On the Bicentennial, the Griggers had a jeep for their business (Polly's Motel and Campground) in the town's 4th of July parade, and my sister and I rode in the back and threw candy to the onlookers. That's probably my most vivid memory of Bob and Polly. Bob also acted as the general contractor on an expansion of the house where I grew up in Dallas.

Thank you for fixing John's mother. He was a product of his fathers 1st of 4 marriages... easy to get mixed up... LOL Thanks again for taking care of that.

I'll be more than happy to make the connections you requested. However, I'd ask you to make the requests again using the "edit" tab at the top right side of each pertinent memorial.

Hi there! Yeah, it does say 1846. I blew it up and adjusted it a little and replaced it with the other one. Maybe it shows up a little better now.

After I sent you the first message, I noticed the name of the cemetery. Her full name was Julia Angeline (Tanner) Humphrey. She never remarried after her husband died in 1835 or 1836. Tom

What is the name of the cemetery? Where is she buried? She supposedly died in Colorado while visiting grandchildren. Her husband died in 1836 in Daviess Co., KY. Do you know where James Pruden Humphrey is buried? or his parents Daniel and Catherine Humphrey? They died after the 1850 census in Daviess Co., KY. Thanks, Tom Humphrey

You're very welcome. I noticed the difference in William's surname as well. I'm glad this helps, although you still have to be careful. Gravestones are not always correct, but in this case I believe it is.
