|Kevin Swain||A husband next to Catherine Swain?|
Dear Jeanne Jain,
I spotted your find a grave posting for a Catherine Swain, buried at Rahway Cemetery in Union County, NJ. I was wondering if there is a husband buried next to her? I have a direct relative who lived his life in Union County, and his wife's name is unknown. Doing the math, her birthdate was somewhere around 1768, which would possibly match her to him. Would you send me a quick email?
Here is her F A G site:

Thank you for the transfers, I appreciatte that very much.
For historical perspective I thought would insert a letter transcription from 1816 where Jershua's parentst were writting to her and her two other siblings.
Below is a letter that Joshua's mother wrote to her 3 children. Her mother was the wife of Daniel Knapp, a son of a Great grandfather Zadock. I was following the leads to see if I could find more about Zadock,

Letter from Daniel and Anna F-501.
A letter from Daniel and Anna to Asa and Jerusha (Knapp) Smith- Nathan and Sally (Knapp) Hanford Delliseanthe and Daraxa (Knapp) Benjamin from Franklin Co., Cochocton, Ohio,
"Charles lives with us. Aunt Mary Pury lives close by. Edward lives at Siresnbury? (if living) 50 miles away. He has consumption. Has lost oldest son, Daniel. Hannah and Betsey are married. Where is Anesath? We heard that she got to her uncle David's at Litchfield. Charles wants to come to see you this fall. I have some business to be done there. Have any of you heard from Rebecca? How are they at Bethlehem, if your grandmother is still living ? This is a good country for a poor man to get a living in, if he will work, for the earth yields bountifully of every kind of produce. The people are flocking in here from the eastern states and from Vermont, for it is very hard times in those parts and they must come to Egypt for corn. The country is good but the inhabitants are very bad, for they don't regard the laws of God nor man, for the Lord's day is made a day of pleasure; only where the New England people are settled and have Congregational churches is there the Lord's Day revered." Charles Aunt Mary Pury Edward Daniel. Hannah and Betsey are married. Where is Anesath? uncle David's at Litchfield Rebecca? your grandmother

Hi Jeanne, I did some research on the Barna's I have in my tree on ancestry.com. I have Michael & Emma (O'Conner)Barna, Emma being Michael's 2nd wife. Unless she was previously married, I don't think they had any children together. Catherine Teston was Michael's 1st wife, and they had the following children, all now deceased: Margaret 1926-1987, Irene 1927-1983, Catherine 1929-2008, and William 1931-1986, who was a pastor. I haven't been able to find any info on the 3 daughters in regard to who they married, and I am assuming Rev William Barna never married. I don't know if this helps any, but that is all the info I have been able to find out about this branch of my father's side of the family. Anna Barna married my great uncle, Jack Wahl, so that is how I am related to the Barna's in my tree. I also did a web search on each of them, but that wasn't much help either. Sorry I can't help more. My cousin Bob may have some other info on them, as he is an exert on the family tree. If so, I will be glad to pass it along to you. Pam

Sorry, Jeanne, I thought the message was connected to the name. My ancestors were William Harrison and Mary Frazee (in Rahway Cemetery). I'm unlikely ever to get there, so these photos are a treasure. Thanks again!

Hello, Yes,there are at least 20 people at Pine Island with Day in their names.
I haven't been loading them at Find A Grave because I shoot at too high a resolution.
I have some in a group on Flickr.
My "handle" is caboose_rodeo.
Look for a group within my photos called "Day Family at Pine Island Cemetery"
Hope this helps!
