While trying to find some info on this woman, the only thing I could find was a death certificate stating that she is buried in Georgetown, MA. Are you sure you found her in Monumental?

Do you mean the stone carver got it wrong? Did someone get a refund?

Added by GPoppa on Jun 09, 2016 3:57 PM

George Brown

There isn't a date on the stone. The date was added by the memorial creator , and it coincides with the RIHCC date. So I will go by their records, and the stone only says Children of Harry T. and Eliza B. Brown.

Since his stone is documented with photograph from the R I Historical Cemetery Commission and located in the North Burial Ground, his stone in Mass with his siblings must be a cenotaph. You may want to ask the other one to be noted as a cenotaph with his siblings,

Please recheck your digital photo of his marker. I believe it clearly has his date of deth as 1958 (eight) not 1953.

He is in there twice because he was duplicated and attached. I work very well with the other manager so I will let her know. Thank you for catching it, and impeccable work oh I love that :)

Re: Stephen & Mary Brownell Family - Beech Grove
Hello Dawn,

Thanks for your attention to this. The memorials listed in Beech Grove Cemetery for Stephen A. Brownell, as well children, Herman, Hope, Minnie, Albert & Mabel are being marked as cenotaphs. Stephen and children, Herman, Hope & Minnie were originaly buried at Beech Grove. According to the City of New Bedford, Mass. cemetery records, they were disinterred and removed to Oak Grove Cemetery, New Bedford in October 1907. The entire family is buried together there.

Stephen's wife, Mary (Sisson) Brownell, and children Albert and Mabel were never interred at Beech Grove. There is no memorial at Beech Grove for this Mary Brownell. Notes are being added to all the memorials involved and everything will be straightened out shortly. Thanks again, and have a great day! Janet

RE: Obituary
Thanks, I tried, and it doesn't have as many obits as I expect them to.

Added by Dstmnstr on Aug 15, 2015 8:28 AM

Do you lookup obituaries, because my great-great grandmother's sister Louisa do Ceu (Henriques) Silva died in Newport, Rhode Island and I don't know where she is buried at and I don't know the death date but I do know the death year?

RE: Daniel Wilbour

I added it to the Bio in his memorial in the Old Wilbour Cemetery, the other is a cenotaph.

I took over management of some of this members memorials. I have found his research is usually pretty good, and would not know his sources, but do want to respect his work.

The headstone photo is definitely from PO007. I inventoried Union Cemetery stone by stone (twice, once for Find A Grave and once for John Sterling (RI Cem Index). All I can say is his name appeared in both. If I get time, I'll try to find the marker at Union and pho it
