RE: Your Pilgrim Ancestor
Since Christian is not in your direct bloodline (Celina is), then I think you have all you need to proceed. Christian shows up on Find A Grave but not much more information on the site. George Clark is one of my proven 19 grandfathers in the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and I have also his Rev War pension papers which are quite interesting where he claims to be so poor and Ruth, his wife, not in good health. Maybe you have the same papers? Regards, Ward

RE: Your Pilgrim Ancestor
Hi Jenn: I assume you have access to Ancestry.com. You can find the information you are seeking for Celina if you search under "Stories, Memories, Histories" for Simeon Church you will find the book "Simeon Church of Chester, Connecticut; 1708 - 1792; And His Descendants; Compiled by Charles Washburn Church; Waterbury, Conn.; 1914". Celina is documented on page 174 and 190, her parentage, birth and marriage. I have used this book for several of my proofs (George Clark and Ruth Doane and their daughter Sylvia Maria Clark) and it is accepted by the Mayflower Society. By the way, my mother shows up on page 180 as Edyth Emily Eddy. I hope this helps a little bit. Cheers, Ward

Your Pilgrim Ancestor
We may have been in contact before but can't recall since my computer crashed. However, I wanted to tell you that you and your branch of the family tree is connected to Mayflower Pilgrim Elder William Brewster. I have proven our connection to Brewster through our common ancestor Sylvia Maria (Clark) Church.
Your branch: Sylvia, Celina, Ella, Claude, Wealthy, Ondrea, Jennifer. This means all the families of your ancestors on this branch are Mayflower Descendants and eligible to join the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. If any of your families are interested, I can provide my approved application to assist with their application.
Best regards, Ward White, Your 4th Cousin, once removed.

Christian Stuyverson
Sorry to appear so confused, however, I do not remember the request. If you would advise the cemetery where they are buried, I can make a note to check on any future visit(s).

RE: Celina Stuyverson
If I did not add a photo to Christian's memorial, or create a memorial if none previously existed, it is likely that there was no headstone there at the time.

If a subject is one of a double headstone, or if there are more than one headstone in close proximity with the same surname, I generally take a photo of the additional headstone(s) for just this reason. So, if I did not add photo to

RE: Gorham
I descend from Stratton Gorham, who was the son of Joseph Barlow Gorham. Here is the line (starting with the youngest and going to the oldest, father to son):

Joseph Barlow Gorham (married Abigail Stratton)
Joseph Gorham (married Mary Gray)
Joseph Gorham (married Deborah Barlow)
Jabez Gorham (married Hannah Sturgis)
John Gorham (married Desire Howland)
Ralph Gorham

Documentation that I have includes census records and some wills and estate papers, and tombstone photos, which are on Find A Grave. Everything I have I have shared with Fred Berardi, or I have gotten from him, so if you have shared with him, we probably have the same info. I am happy to send anything you would like, but would need your email address. I have papers proving Stratton's relationship to Joseph Barlow Gorham, and then beyond that, I have used the book John Howland of the Mayflower, Vol. 1, by Elizabeth Pearson White. Just let me know what you need! (Give me specific names and I'll give you what I have.)

We must be about the same age! I started doing genealogy at about the same year and age. I'm happy to share info. What in particular are you interested in?

RE: Marcena A. Whitman
Sorry for the delay in responding, but I am at a loss as to where Marcena's stone is located. I have walked the entire cemetery at least 10 more times. My photos are time-stamped and it seems improbable that it is in another cemetery with the small time between photos.... I will keep searching...

Lanette (Royer) Deveney
Thanks
Hi Jennifer,

Thank you so much for this! I have been thinking of Grandma and Grandpa Royer (that's what I've always called them) a lot lately... wanting to be more connected to that side of my family. When I read "Grandpa Remembers" I laughed and cried... never having known much about his life aside from little pieces here and there. I'll never forget having holiday dinners with aggravation or sequence afterward. Such fun memories! I have to assume we are related, would love to connect!!!

With gratitude,
Lanette :)
