RE: Abiah (Matthews) Dayton - photo
I can't recall what the bottom line said and going through my photos, I don't see a shot of the last line. The rest of it says; "Abiah wife of Matthew Lindsley died Mar 15, 1845" I'll drop you a line next time I'm there and let you know. Pretty sure it was her age, but don't remember.

Abiah Matthews-Dayton Photo Reques
Greetings,
I was able to identify the nearly illegible stone and will be uploading the photo. I just wanted to let you know that I'm also putting through an edit to change her last name to LINDSLEY. She remarried Matthew Lindsley after the death of her first husband Lyman Dayton. She is buried with Matthew and directly behind her son William Dayton. Kathi

Bateham's
Those are great photo's you have of their grave sites. I wonder if one used a small hand shoval if the dirt around the headstone can be dug up a little to see what else is engraved on the stone. Good thing the family has an original photo. Dirt over time and grass clippings build up around headstones blocking out the written words.

RE: Re: Audean Taylor, Greenwood Cemetery request
Audean and Alvin Taylor are buried at Claquato Cemetery. I found their markers and added them to their memorials there. They are listed as being at both cemeteries, perhaps when Alvin died Audean was moved and they were buried at Claquato.

Audean Taylor, Greenwood Cemetery request
Do you have any dates for Audean Taylor? Was she married to Alvin Taylor?

You requested a picture of Alta Monroe's marker. When I was there I found 4 more Monroe's with her, I took those pictures as well, I will create the memorial if there isn't one already.

Thanks only to a good directory of burials now at the Mountain View Cemetery, I was able to find his stone. As you can see, it is quite corroded, which is why it couldn't be read by previous searchers (including me).
I edited the stone in Picasa to try to bring out the shadows and see the engraving better. It made the stone a slightly bluer tint; if you really don't like this, I can post the original, grayer photo, but the letters are even more difficult to read on it.

To date there is no marker for this person. I talked to a caretaker and he showed me where Aloysius is buried next to his daughter, but no stone.

RE: John A Hawk and Isabelle (Bateham) Hawk
We realized that we had also taken a picture of Jack A. Hawk (Oct. 1886 to 1918) tombstone. It is located right beside the large stone of John A. and Isabelle Hawk. If you would like us to transfer management of his memorial site, just let us know. Evelyn & Loren Langford
