Thanks for your reply. I thought perhaps since her death certificate listed Henry Matney as her Dad and Mom as Sarah Jane Hardist, that you might have information on her Dad. Date of birth and death matched your memorial. Want to thank you again for all the work you have done for this site and the Matney family!

I note your birth date and death date for her - same as on the TX death certificate. Do you know anything else about the persons listed as her parents on the death certificate: Henry Matney, Dad; Sarah Jane Hardist, Mom? So far I haven't found anything else about them, however I know you have done a tremendous amount of work on the Matney family and I DO THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!

Thank you for your contributions to Find A Grave! It helped solve a small mystery about a baby in our family that died @ 2 months old, where, when, and from what illness. Thank you.

Loyd died in Multnomah, Oregon I believe in Portland, not sure yet. Trying to update my family tree. Yes, it is time consuming in both ancestry and Find A Grave but if I find something that I can help with I'll do my best. Blessings, Carolyn

Can you verify his middle name please? The obituary for his daughter (Annie Dinkins Snow #30271561) says Olan Oglethorpe Dinkins (not Oscar). I have put in an edit to change it to "O", although I believe Oglethorpe is correct.

|acybersleuth||Infant son(s) Gaither|
Jr, do you think it is possible that the two memorials for "Infant son Gaither(s)" could be for the same child?
One (with a marker, memorial #29867976) shows "infant son of WJ and AM" and a birth/death date of 26 April 1898.
The other one (without a marker, memorial #29867975) lists that same inscription and a birth/death date of 20 April 1890.

|acybersleuth||Infant boy Gaither|
Hello again, Jr.,
Regarding memorial #29867975 for Infant boy Gaither, I had already submitted a link to his mother's memorial, but then noticed that there may be some mistake on these year of birth/death.
There is no marker, but the inscription listed on the memorial says "son of WJ and AM", which would be correct for Woolery Jackson Gaither and his wife, Alice Maude (Grissom) Gaither.
But the Texas death certificate of the mother, Alice Maude (Grissom) Gaither (memorial #147866111), shows her birthdate as 1881 (10 February), so the 1890 birth and death date seems unlikely. She and Woolery Jackson Gaither were married on 10 May 1897 in Muskogee County, Indian Territory.
Thank you (and)

|acybersleuth||Augusta V. & Nordeen Gaither|
Just submitted corrections on the birth and death dates on these twin cousins of mine, Augusta V. (Victoria) Gaither (memorial #29867968) and her twin Nordeen (memorial #29867982), and submitted a link to their mother's memorial (#147866111). According to the Dawes Commission testimony of their parents, and also a copy of their Creek census card, they were born while their mother and all of their family had smallpox, on June 12, 1902; and Augusta Victoria died two days later on June 14, 1902; and Nordeen died at three weeks and a few days, so in July of 1902. I can send you a copy of the Dawes Commission testimony of both parents and the attending physician, and a copy of their Creek census card if you need it.
Thank you (and)

Is Vivian Marie Wheeler related to you? If so is it through the Long. She is my Aunt, Leroy McDaniel is her brother he to is in the same cemetery. I am working on putting my Family tree together. My grand mother's mom was a Long. If we are not from the same Long would you please consider transferring Aunt Marie to me. Thank you in advance

|Bruce Prihoda||RE: 86470566 Update Request|
Thank you, I did not know. Eventually I will be requesting Memorial Management for all so I may enter bio, obit information and select photgraphs/family pictures on my own. If unable to due so where I stand on the family tree I will be contacting the appropriate family member to do so. I sincerely appreciate persons such as yourself setting up the memorials initially but in the end I feel the family should have ownership. If I knew this site existed a few years ago I would have gone in and set up all my deceased relatives to have ownership. Thanks again and keep up the great work! Bruce

First of all thank you for creating the memorial for my cousin Daniel B Prihoda, 86470566 and also acting so quick on another request I submitted to you today!
I am the cousin of Daniel and his parents were my uncle and aunt Fred R Prihoda and Annie E Vitek Prihoda. I am trying to tie all deceased cousins to their parents and spouses for which currently their memorial does not have listed.
Would you be so kind to update Daniel B Prihoda memorial 86470566 with the following:
Father - Fred R Prihoda - 80497054
Mother - Annie E Vitek Prihoda - 80496564
Spouse - Evelyn Manna Prihoda - 146581206
Thanks in advance and once again!

Mr. McKay - You may wish to delete Ruth Cuny's memorial at Hempstead Cemetery, Hempstead, Waller Co., Texas. On April 3, 2014, she and her husband , Thomas Bacon Cuny, Jr., were reinterred at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, DC. Her Arlington Find A Grave # is 127710526 and Mr. Cuny's is 127710414. Thanks for your work.

I'm not related. I was updating Amos Mitchell's memorial and it shows his father is Collie Mitchell so I thought I would update Collie as well. I won't send any edits for Collie since we don't know for sure.
Thanks for your input.

I have a question about Mr. Mitchell. His death certificate says he's buried in the
Houston Cemetery also known as: Hempstead African American Cemetery.
Does your note on his memorial mean that the death certificate is wrong? I don't want to send an edit request if it's wrong.

I, for one, am glad you did it. It is important that we get the data down digitally so the information is not lost.
Would it be better if after the photos were taken, we washed it off right away?
In any case, THANK YOU. - Carolyn
