RE: Mrs.. Jerry Ferris
I apologize. I sent the obituary to the wrong person. Mrs. Jerry Ferris is the sister of Peuella A. Hunter. Mrs. Jerry Ferris is the daughter of James Hunter and Elizabeth Roop. I must have done this when my brains were scrambled. Thank you for letting me know I sent the obituary to the wrong person.

RE: Victor S. Reed
You are very welcome Margie. I spent 35 years searching for my g-great grandmother's grave. Now I transcribe cemeteries in the summer and search old newspapers for obituaries in the winter, so maybe others won't have to spend so many years searching for their family members. Glad I could help with your family mystery. Juelette Fadness

RE: Wm. Hiner
I have found Rachel Elder on my Ancestry.com family tree. I should have looked there first. Her parents are Lewis Keith Elder and Elizabeth Firestone Elder. Lewis Keith's father was John Elder who is buried at VanCuren cemetery here in Kosciusko Co. I think they must be some relation to Samuel Elder who Martha Hiner married, but haven't found the connection yet.

RE: Wm. Hiner
I was originally confused about these graves also. After doing some research here in Warsaw, I discovered that William Leonard Hiner married Rachel M. Elder on Aug. 31, 1872 in Kosciusko Co., In. Rachel was born in 1854 and died June 18, 1878 in Kosciusko Co. I don't have her parents recorded, but I believe they were related by marriage to William Leonard's sister. His oldest sister was Martha who married Samuel Elder. His other sister was Mary who was my great great grandmother. I will see what I can find on Rachel's parents. I haven't really looked. William Leonard's mother died in 1889 in Kosciusko Co. after his father's death, but I can't find where she is buried. William Leonard was married two more times after Rachel died. Are you related to the Elders?

Wm. Hiner
Wm. Hiner is my 3rd great grandfather. He also had a son named William Leonard Hiner. His son, William Leonard, was the husband of Rachel. The Rachel you are saying William was married to is actually his daughter-in-law. The older William was married to Catherine. She in 1889. William Leonard, the husband of Rachel died in 1910 while married to his third wife.

RE: Nathan Shippy
I am not sure if Nathan Shippy is in my line or not; he is just in the right place at the right time. You say you have children for him...is one by any chance a Marshall Shippy (b. @1805, New York)?

Sorry for the delay in answering you; I did not get the message until I got a different question.

Thanks either way!

RE: Nathan Shippy
I am doing my husband's family tree; we have a new grandchild coming and it kind of spurred me on.

Anyway, I am not sure if he is related to Nathan Shippy or not. On one of his ancestor's death certificates, it says the father of the deceased was "Nathan Shippy", no further info. However, on a family tree website, it says the father was "Marshall Shippy", so I was wondering who you have for Nathan Shippy's children. Specifically, do you have "Andrew Marshall Shippy". Thanks for responding, and have a lovely, sunny day! Karen Baker

I didn't know how to change the info listed for her. She was born 5 Sept 1824 in China Twp, Genessee Co, NY. I left a short message in the flower section. I am new to this site today and can't believe the relative found thus far. Rachel is in Morris Chapel Cemetery, Kosciusko Co, IN

Findagrave has made transfers easy now. At the top under the each name you put on,it says transfer ownership. Just click on transfer ownership & type in my number 46871407 & that person will be transferred over to me. It will say created by you & maintained by me.
Hope this helps. I will be notified by findagrave that the transfer has been made.
Thanks.

Margie,

Awesome job on the obits and the info related to the person. You have done a great job. This is such a great way to share with everyone, without putting the work on you, which I know you would do anyways to help others.

Keep it up!!
