|C Wilson||Rachel J (Gann) Grayson ~ Bogata|
Surname on grave marker @ Bogata Cemetery is 'Grayson' rather than 'Whitsell'. Hope that's not a problem ... =-/

You are very welcome. I went to find an ancestor of mine (A. J. Jones). Harmony Cemetery has been completely forgotten. So many interesting tombstones, but many have been broken. There were several Woodmen of the World tombstones. My ancestor being one of the them. I tried to take as many pictures as I could, because it is not very easy found or accessible. I will be posting some of the others soon. Hope you will check them out.

You are very welcome. I was glad to do it. I know how it feels to get a notice of someone taking a photo of a relatives headstone.

|Gail Raibourn Blancett||Luther Rice Littlefield tombstone photo|
When I posted the picture of the tombstone for Luther Rice Littlefield in the Adamsville, McNairy Co. TN cemetery, I didn't notice that someone was hunting for a picture.
Luther Rice Littlefield was my 2nd great grandfather. This picture was taken MANY years ago--must be back in the late 1950s I would guess from the picture of the car in the background.
It was in my Mother's things and when I was posting burials for my parents, grandparents and great grandparents in the Fletcher Cemetery, in Oklahoma today, I realized I had the picture and so checked to see if by any chance someone had entered the grave on Find-A-Grave for Luther Rice Littlefield.
When I didn't find a picture there, I thought I'd add it.
It isn't the best picture. I am checking with my aunt to see if she has a better one.

|Carolyn Lee||RE: Naylor Cemetery Burials|
Some researchers state she bore 10 children, however I have only found 9...there could be another one I that does not appear on a census?. But of the 9 I have found..there is none named Lucy.
Lucy also appears on the 1840 Randolph county census with son Thomas A. Barnes, who was still single at the time, since he did not marry until 1841.
The Lucy Barnes on the 1850 census was living with her son, Thomas A. Barnes, and his family in Randolph county and she was aged 74. So I feel confident the date on the stone is oncorrect, in that I have found her birth year as 1776 SC.
Given that she is on the 1850 census, I am more inclined to think the death date should have been 1852.
Anyhow another mystery to solve.

|Carolyn Lee||Naylor Cemetery Burials|
I was looking for some Barnes buried in Naylor, and found some. Lucy Wisdom Barnes is listed as having died in 1842...is this correct?
I find her on 1850 Randolph census living with son Thomas and family. Could the date have been a typo? I am baffled ?
Thank you for your kind postings on this site.

Linda, I found a Sarah J. Nunn (40200690) buried in the Daniel Potter Cemetery, Wayne Co., NC. The area matches with John Luthers birth place. The spelling of the name is different. Just wanted to let you know. DonZas

Would like to know if you are related to the Hanks that you have asked for headstone pictures? I have been researching a family for some time now that the Hanks was married into.
